I regret to announce:
On St. Patrick's Day, U2 will release Songs of Surrender, featuring new versions of 40 songs from their back catalog.
Talk about signs of a dead band….

I could've sworn they died in 1988.

I've been saying this on here for fifteen years and it's funny how over those 15 years, more and more of you have come over to the correct position that U2 has about 3.5 good records and none of them have come out in the last 30 years.

Please never put me in the group of people that thought U2 was a good band.

I will need to review the file I keep on you to see what you've said in the past. Please hold.
Sweet.

I'll listen to your mom's copy.
I think U2 was absolutely vital in 1983 around the time of War and Live Under a blood red sky. I remember buying the latter on cassette and they just seemed to be saying something important.

They had a commercial peak with Joshua Tree

A second peak with the reinvention of U2 on Achtung Baby

Not a bad track record. Almost ten years at the top. Working with Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno was an inspired move. Go back and listen to Eno’s Ascent and tell me it wasn’t reconfigured for the opening of Where the streets have no name.

Zoo ropa and Pop are good albums.

After that…..

This is the most insane thing I'll hear all day.

I stand corrected.
Pop came out 25 years ago so not sure what the disagreement is…I say they’ve sucked for a quarter century vs your three decades? I see that as agreement
