Alice in Chains @ the 930

I heard Jerry Cantrell playing while standing in line to get Wilco's autographs and pictures years ago at Bumbershoot. What an awful racket. Tweedy appeared to hate it as well.
I donâ??t think anyone is under any false delusions that this show will be the same as seeing AIC when Layne was alive. I think some people see it as a chance to see the songs performed by the band and sung by someone that has their blessing. Itâ??s sort of a way to celebrate the music that Layne created with some of the people that were closest to him.

On a side note I wonder if they will do any Mad Season songs? Wake Up and River of Deceit were great tunes.
This kind of reminds me of driving past the State Theatre last night and seeing the Dead Kennedys are playing in September. I wonder, should I go see them even though Jello is not with them anymore, or should I go see them for their name?…….I'm thinking I might go see them.
If you can ignore the vocal differences, the music would be a whole lot better than Alice in Chains.

i refuse to support the 'new' dead kennedys. jello is what made the band.

So you're a fan of Velvet Revolver and Audioslave, are you?
I was comparing it to seeing the Dead Kennedy's minus Jello that plays Jaxx.

the collaboration I don't really care about, but as far as which fake-DKs yr gonna see, I'll back the Melvins as far as totally ripping it up, and having the "quirky" Jello still do his thang.

Save the audioslave slurs for someone else.
