If you think the Philly Live8 is weak, check out Rome. Are you kidding me? How the hell did EVERYONE end up near London for that date? Still trolling cyberspace for an access pass…no "hits" yet.

So what disbanded-American band should put aside their differences and play the Philly Live 8 ??
Grand Funk ?
Jefferson Airplane?
Bread?
Urge Overkill ?
Smashing Pumpkins?
Wait … I know, and it's already happened:
Loggins and Messina
the Pixies.
haha, just kidding.
haha, just kidding.
how about we have a Rage Against the Machine/Soundgarden/Audioslave/Stone Temple Pilots/Guns N Roses/Velvet Revolver battle royal.
all member of all bands , playing tunes from all of thier albums.
comedy, if nothing else.

This is a crazy question but does anyone have any ideas about how to get an access pass to the London concerts?
Although, Sir Bob is a bit miffed about it

From what I can figure out on eBay, the last bid for two tickets to London Live8 is a bit over $18,000.00 for two…and apparently, ole Bob and company think they've figured out how to flag sold tickets from on-site auctions so they'll deny access. What a load…I think there was an opportunity for the Brit. gov't to encourage a bit of US tourism in what they think will be a slow summer due to exchange rates, but I can find NO hotel with a 'package' deal - even one right across the street from Hyde Park; I even thought Virgin Atlantic would show a little creativity…even contributing a few bucks to the "One" campaign from each sale or something, but NOOOOOOO.????? Makes good 'ole American entrepeneurship (or scam skills) look damned unique!!! :D

"Geldof also said that people without tickets will be allowed into Hyde Park on the day of the show, reportedly to watch the concert with extra screens and speakers.
"I'm not supposed to talk about this but other people tell me there are arrangements to allow hundreds of thousands more into the park on the day," he said."

A few things worth checking out there. Too bad MTV will be too busy showing Puffy and Bon Jovi.
