Live 8 - Pink Floyd Reunion
I'll be the first to say
HOLY SHIT
HOLY SHIT
shit, it's the London Live 8. Hopefully they take a cue from Phil Collins and play both the US and the UK shows.
This is a crazy question but does anyone have any ideas about how to get an access pass to the London concerts? The website says it's the only one requiring access tickets; and none will be allocated for any citizens outside the UK/Channel islands…it would take another lifetime or two to hear all those acts one at a time, and this Pink Floyd announcement made me put my first-born up for sale on e-bay so I could pay for airline/hotel…but without an access pass, I'm really hesitant to confirm any hotel/airline bookings…???? Ideas?
i think it's a lottery and you have to register with a mobile phone to win…
my wet dream of floyd playing a "final brick in the wall," tour at r.f.k, is one step closer. come to me, mr. waters. i know where you live in shepardstown. don't make me bitch slap you, if you decide to tour and play . . . MCI. no!!!!
While this is a glimmer of hope, I don't expect it to be much more than that…. At their age, I don't think they have the will to do world tours and the such. But I guess we have to wait and see.
I am very excited about this. My father raised me on Floyd and they are still my all-time favorite.

I hope Pink Floyd does a retirement funding tour. I saw them a few times without Waters and they were still excellent.
I'm really hoping for a World Tour. But in that same thought I'm just hoping they don't kill each other either. So hopefully we can see them tour again.

B. Touring the world, taking lots of drugs, and sleeping with strange women, all while making millions of dollars.
Choices, choices, choices…..
It's called a touring nanny…and they would be able to afford an army of them. I would love to see Pink Floyd, but I know that I would be reluctant to shell out $200 or whatever it will cost to see them. It would be a cool show I'm sure, but at this juncture I'd rather pay that money and see Sleater-Kinney 13 times (yes, their show was that good).

How is that "Live At Pompeii" DVD thing? I'm looking to get some interesting live DVDs
So what disbanded-American band should put aside their differences and play the Philly Live 8 ??
Grand Funk ?
Jefferson Airplane?
Bread?
Urge Overkill ?
Smashing Pumpkins?
Wait … I know, and it's already happened:
Loggins and Messina

I was collecting money for charity, and it was back in the day when there was always a support movie on first so we had to go up and down the aisles with the collection box before the main film started…..Live at Pompeii.
