Germano's is excellent. Been there plenty of times with no disappointments. Valeggia's is also good.
Not Italian, but McCormick & Schmick's seafood resteraunt located on Pier 5 on the Harbor is excellent as well.

Brass Elephant is definitely one of the top 3 or 4 best restaurants I've eat at in Baltimore, but I would not call it an Italian restaurant at all, although they do have a pasta dish or two on their menu.

yeah avoid little italy.
instead check out Pazo in Fells Point / Harbor East
http://www.pazorestaurant.com/ its a tapas place, excellent food, reservations needed.

looks like its aldos. and sure, there are proba bly better options in baltimore outside of little italy and also outside baltimore in general. but that really wasnt the point. baltimore is the plan, stan. the acquarium, the lion king, the orioles game. and a good dinner, whathaveyou. thanks for all the suggestions. ill let you guys know what i thought of aldos, and that pastry joint. hopefully they have florentines. mmm.

Man, you really must love her, having to endure the Lion King.
I once went to London with someone I didn't love, and had to put my foot down on her desire to see the Lion King at something like $80 a ticket (or was it 80 pounds)? We broke up soon thereafter, thankfully.

aldos was first rate through and through. food, service, atmosphere.
vaccaros or whatever that pastry joint is was terribly overrated.
thanks again for all the input. i highly recommend aldos for a special occasion.
