Or I burn copies of my friends cds.
Oh, that's true. I probably get 5% at shows…
I-Tunes…..got into the habit while mixing spinning cd's. It's great that you can burn a single track from an album so you can make your own compelations.
Just crunched the numbers and arrived at the following

10% emusic
20% Best Buy…mainly for 9.99 new releases
30% Revolution Records
8% Direct from artist
7% At a show
25% Burns from friends

Couldn't agree more Mankie - try emusic!
I usually buy everything at Soundgarden in Fells Point.

If they don't have something, I order it from Insound. (this is rare)
I forgot about shows and direct from the artist. That's one of my favorite ways but not necessarily my highest percentage.

Promos too.

Can't break my percentages down at all because it varies so often.
I listen to XM to hear new stuff and I buy a lot of it on eBay. If you shop around a bit on eBay, you can get some great deals even when you factor in the shipping.
fifty fifty.

fifty in my head

fifty from the dead
I listen to XM
I've been a little dissapointed in XM since we got it although I think thats partially due to the fact that my schedule isn't that conducive to radio listening - I only drive on weekends and even then not much and when I get home during the week its eat / play with kid / get kid down to bed…once thats done I'd rather watch TV or tool around with itunes than listen to XM
i also steal music.

copywritten music. yup, i shake down almost any artist i can think of.

then i share it with other thieving friends of mine!!!
~50% used (vinyl & disc)
~25% Olssons
~15% Borders/B&N/other big stores
~10% misc. (shows, online)
