Dinosaur Jr

just a heads up for the Dinosaur fans:

looks like they've been playing almost only songs from "Dinosaur Jr" and "You're Living All Over Me" on their tour. nothing at all from Where you Been or Green Mind, so if you plan on brushing up on Dino songs, check out their first 2 discs…..their last show

-06/15/05 Gent, Belgium

SETLIST: Gargoyle / In a Jar / The Post / Repulsion / Bulbs of Passion / Tarpit / Raisans / Little Fury Things / Forget the Swan / Kracked / Sludgefeast / Budge / The Lung / Freak Scene
ENCORE: Just Like Heaven / Chunks / Does It Float
three songs from bug. bug, dino and ylaom are the only three albums that all three original members were on, so why play anything for the later ones that were pretty much mascis solo albums?

right, just wasnt sure if "everyone" would pick up on that!
does that mean that sonic and i are going to be at the same show? how delightful! (i mean that, sincerely.) anyone who likes dinosaur, is a friend of mine, indeed! except for that one guy, and he knows who he is.
i'm just surprised i beat jaron to it

would be nice to see just like heaven, though
god, what a loud show that's going to be. man, i don't want to wear earplugs.

damage my brain and hearing j., it's ok.

I'll be there. Rock on all.

I like that they're playing all of YLAOM, but I do wish there was a few less Dinosaur songs and a few more Bug ones. Also, I wouldn't mind the Wagon since it's a favorite, but I know they won't for obvious reasons.
did you know that the tony hawk "boom boom huck jam" will be in dc the same evening as the show? could there be a slim chance that some pro skaters/bmxers/motorcross riders might show up? those guys are party freaks and might make a nine thirty monday interesting!
I've been jazzed for this show as soon as they announced it. If you want to hear stuff from Green Mind, Where You Been, etc., Jay plays all the "hits" in his solo shows.
i'll be at the show.
i'm actually about to head out to the norfolk show right now. originally i'd only planned on going to norfolk, but seeing bardo pond opening made me decide to go ahead and do dc as well. i was in town so i was able to get tickets at the box office. the $1 service fee made it the same price as norfolk was, considering norfolk was $5 cheaper before fees, they came out to be the same price.
Already got tickets from the club; but do ya'll think this will sell out by night of the show?

Already sold out.

Too late, José.

Check the Ticket X-Change section.
How was the show, Distance? Do you know what the setlist was?
I personally thought the Norva show was great. Good fun, great playing, and they all seemed genuinely happy to be there (even though J doesn't talk much anyway). Lou seemed to enjoy himself very much. J effortlessly plays so well. I had earplugs in, and have never seen that many Marshall stacks on stage in a club setting before. My chest was pounding. A nice surprise!
magik markers was very entertaining, especially once people in the crowd started heckling them. a lot of people went outside to smoke during their set.
bardo pond's set was good, but i think i enjoyed the set i saw of theirs in atlanta in 2003 better.

times were approximately 30/50/90 for the 3 bands.
a question, what kind of merch did they have for sale?

I took a quick look. Besides the CDs, they had the re-release "Freak Scene" 7", plus 3 or 4 shirts, all old designs with new dates on the back (i.e., the purple cow design). $20, I think.

I wish I had seen Magik Markers. I didn't arrive early enough because the Norva only listed Bardo Pond as support; they were dreadful, just as I remembered.
