Beckham agrees to join Real Madrid

David Beckham has agreed to sign a four year contract with Real Madrid, scuppering Barcelona's hopes of luring the England skipper to the Nou Camp.
A Spanish radio station revealed that the two clubs would confirm the details of the deal later on Tuesday evening.
Beckham is reported to be moving to the Bernabeu for a fee of between 25 and 30 milliosn euros - around £20million. He will sign the contract on July 2, the day after he is scheduled for a medical in Spain.
Radio Marca said the deal will be confirmed later today. It had ben reported that the deal was struck as long ago as May 12.
The midfielder, currently on his way to Japan for a promotional tour, will reportedly be paid £90,000-a-week.
