noone has asked why entertainment weekly gives a shit about anton or BJM?

Clapton was neglecting his child. The child went out the window and died.Had Clapton not been Clapton he would have probably been prosecuted.

5% of readers of that rag probably do not know who the vice president is.
I wonder if 5% of internet users have trouble saying what they mean.
I should have said, probably only 5% of readers of that rag know who the vice president is.
But I think you knew that is what I meant.

This thread reminds me of a story from the Onion:
Weird Al Honors Parents' Memory With 'Tears In Heaven' Parody
FALLBROOK, CAâ??Zany, mourning entertainer "Weird Al" Yankovic has parodied Eric Clapton's eulogy song "Tears In Heaven" in loving tribute to his parents, who recently died of carbon-monoxide poisoning in their San Diego home, a spokesman for Yankovic said Monday.
"Al's hurting deeply right now, and this is his way of honoring Nick and Mary," Karl Tuft said of the song in which a subdued Yankovic sings, "First you lit some flames / Then the smoke stopped your breathin' / Carbon mono's th'way you went… / Up to heaven" over a somber, minor-key accordion melody.
Tuft added that the best way for Yankovic to give voice to his pain and loss was by altering the voice of Clapton's pain and loss.

the best parody of "tears in heaven" was that mr. show skit which also featured the willips brighton classic, "mouthful of sores."
Anton's reply to all the hoopla regarding the EW interview: "they do seem upset.

The Nanny was chasing Conor through the Apt as the housecleaner had just opened a window. He/she turned to tell the Nanny that the window was open as Conor ran past and out the open window. He fell ~50 stories to his death.
Clapton was in the elevator going up to the Apt at the time and walked in minutes after it had happened.
He wrote Tears in Heaven as his way of greiving. He let a friend use it for his movie "Rush" and it became a monster hit - he did not intend it or attempt to capatilize on it. He has let it be used for charity on more than one occasion and has performed it at many charity functions. He has written other songs about his son including "The Circus Left Town" about the last day they spent together.
Here's his photo from a PSA about putting child guards up:

And my buddy, who is a Clapton die-hard, says that Clpaton rarely plays the song live any longer because he no longer needs to grieve in that manner. When he does play it, it's usually dedicated to somebody or something (the Tsunami victims for example).
