best movies for halloween time

Hocus Pocus
Donnie Darko
Nightmare Before Christmas

Those are the 3 I need to watch every October.

Hocus Pocus is an old family tradtition since it was released on VHS. I effing love that movie. Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker as the attractive one? That's hilarious.
Devil's Backbone
The Changeling
The Orphanage

3 solid ghost story movies, if that's what you're into.
I'm always a fan of a classic Wes Craven trifecta…

-Last House On The Left
-The Hills Have Eyes
-A Nightmare on Elm Street
how to tell if a horror flick is a true classic? count how many of the 20 Horror Movie Clichés I Can Do Without it contains.

my favorite:

Black-clad, brooding vampires with no sense of humor: Cheer up; you're darn near immortal, you've got super strength, you can seduce people at will and depending on whom you ask, you can fly and turn into animals! What's not to love? Seriously, you're bringing me down.
i don't like stick figures.
