we discussed this at length in my office. i came up with the washington pundits, the washington red tape, and the washington hill staffers. other suggestions were the washington lewinskys and the washington tourists.
They have a combined 114 at bats in 155 games. They're irrelevant.

Why not use some sort of Hispanic reference in the name? A majority of the players these days are Hispanic, and DC has a large Hispanic community…

i always identify the homestead grays with…homestead, the section of pittsburgh. yes i know they played in dc too, but homestead was in their name.
in one sense, rhett is correct, african-americans are at one of their lowest percentages in the majors. however, naming the team the grays is more about the past than the present. i kinda like it

My senior year of high school Darnell McDonald ran for nearly 300 yards and 5 touchdowns in the state championship football game. He should have gone to Texas to play football.
