Now if the socks were black or grey or brown or anything one might wear with a suit, they would certainly be German.

no. NEVER socks with sandals. NEVER. i don't care what colour.

only acceptable if you are a lady and they are cute lacy frilly socks with heels or something slightly peek/open toe.

otherwise…NEVER. and ESPECIALLY NOT WITH TEVAS!!!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with 85% of the girls that are going for this look. Certainly not that one.
