Am I the only one who doesn't get this, or are you the only one who does…hard to know at this point.

Well, if you don't get it, then you probably don't get it.

Note: The above statement is also a play on words
you city slickers need to get out to the mountains more.
or at least go see doughty on saturday.
i'm with ya, sockie. i don't get it either.

you should have held out longer, I wanted to see how long it would take before they got it
Is that from something, a movie or bad book? Even with it spelled out, I don't think I really 'get it.' Whatever, it's for the cool kids to laugh about.
Mount
Verb

To climb onto (a female) for copulation. Used of male animals.

Actually, there was no . after the mt so bollocks!

Either way, it was completely lame.

And if anyone is familiar with completely lame, it would be you.

Can we get another Liverpool/soccer/formula 1 joke?
Wow there really are some humour challenged people on the board. No wonder no one thinks I am funny. I am on a higher comedic plain than most of you…..

If you dont know mt is short for mount you really ought to try reading more books.

I may be completely familiar with lame, but you are the master of flame! (now THAT'S comedy folk)

P.S.
Dear Mr. GGW,

In the civilized world we call it football, please remember this in the future.

Sincerly,

The civilized world.

I know Merriweather has a noise curfew, but isn't it 11:00? Looks like all other Radiohead shows on the tour are at the "normal" time.
most of hte other shows start later, though montreal started at 630 also.
that was because of a curfew at the park, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. there weren't nearly the traffic problems getting into the montreal venue that there were getting to merriweather… and i think more people were able to go to the montreal one, being that it was all GA.

I think that is one of the silliest things I've ever seen on this board. NOW I'm laughing. It was a typo; where y'all got mount (and yes, I knew you were talking mount the verb, as in to climb on top of and nail) just eluded me. Look, maybe it's me. Just wasn't funny. If this makes me appear illiterate, that's the funniest part of this whole bit.

:p

Mankie's on this one. I'm not being a nudge when I say, no period, it just didn't hit me as "mount" as in to nail my girlfriend.

Gotta say though, I'm still laughing now!
Funny how these threads tend to get sidetracked.

Merriweather is my least favorite venue in the area that I have attended, mainly due to getting in there and out of there. Takes over an hour just to get out of the parking lot. Only the Patriot Center at GMU has worse acoustics.

As far as the show… for the most part I liked it. My expectations were sky high, so perhaps I was a little disappointed (no "Karma Police" for me). Compounded with the Bull Run disaster from two years ago, I felt that things might have fallen a little short last night. However, I feel greatly relieved having now seen Radiohead live. Next time, if there is one, my expectations will be more sensible. Favorites from the show … "Paranoid Android", "There There" (good live performance), and "Just". "Idiotique" which I don't really dig comes across a lot better live.

i wonder who this sean character is? did they give joe and dave a kick in the ass for their shitty concert reporting and contract out for this sean guy?
He writes for the City Paper. I think his take is pretty right on.
