Hurrah! A video ipod!

so when Apple does it it's OK, but when iRiver did it months ago it was a grand yawn…
You can download content from apple. It will work seemlessly like the apple store does for music downloads.

As you never get to see videos on MTV anymore, this might just be a good way of getting to see them for $2.
I can see all the videos needed OnDemand via Comcast…

and I'm tired, cranky and leaving for home soon…
I do see one plus in this… It would be nice to be able to pay a reasonable amount of money to watch primetime tv OnDemand once in awhile, but not just on an iPod.
The ipod has video out, although the player itself isonly 50% VGA, I am not sure what its outpt will be.

So if you want to watch the latest madonna video comcast will rustle it up for you? I hate comcast.
…and Lost …and home movies …and pixar shorts …and (eventually) games and feature-lenth movies

Trust me I hate Comcast too, OnDemand is it's only saving grace at the moment…

I went to the on demand website but it does not like my apple.
maybe not specifically the madonna video, but plenty of others…

What I don't understand is why Apple can't go all the way with something. They release nifty new software and a remote, but don't include DVR capabilities, Dual tuners and 7.1 audio Hardware with it. With iTunes video one would think a full blown media center computer wouldn't be hard to get on the market place. Here I'm eagerily awaiting for Shuttle to finally release the price, specs, etc for their latest MPC, M1000. Had Apple annouced such a machine, a new Apple would be a serious consideration.

Apple has the reputation for quality hardware, if not pricey, also easy of use, an OS less likely to get viruses, etc, all of which would be good selling points for the less tech savvy looking to buy a media PC. I know in the past Job's has poopooed the idea, but had Apple come out with HDTV recording capabilities now, they would have been well ahead of Micro$oft on that score.
$1.99 to download a show like "desperate housewives" a day after it airs and watch it on a 2.5 inch screen…….is this something I need?,that's the question…..
80GB iPod on the way
Yeah, but that was a rumor posted before today's announcement. Do you have anyplace that suggests they still plan to release an 80gb model anytime soon? That would be the only way I could wait on picking one of these up.

No.

I've been doing this for years using Bit Torrent and my PDA with a Compact flash card. If you take public tranportation, you will absolutely use it - commercial free, 30 minute TV shows take approx 18-20 minutes to watch. How long is your commute?

Need is another question. But does anybody really need an iPod or is it just for convenient enjoyment purposes?

Stock down $2.34 for the day….
Can't wait for the class action suit when everyone with a video i-pod goes blind from squinting to watch Terri Hatcher on a 2 1/2" screen….because it won't be their own fault for buying the latest little gadget will it?

Because all their friends have one and they are sheep.
