Birchmere food

Anyone ever eat at the Birchmere? Is it halfway decent or totally vile?

Anyone going to Henry Rollins tomorrow night?
is it a table seating event like a las vegas lounge?
Overpriced (way) bar food. Not vile, but not worth it all. Mostly picnic-type tables for seating.
Tables
Ben's Chili Bowl !!!
Definitely not cheap…but as long as it's not totally inedible. Anyplace else around there worth going to?
i was there the other day…they have decent food. i dont think its that overpriced…I got a steak and cheese for aound 10-12 bucks i think which is comparable to most bars in the area.

nope the area sucks. women, be smart. oh thats right, no women read this board! there is potomac yard shopping ctr w some drinking/eating places out front. a mc stinkys on rt 1 and 23rd st in c.city is sorta hopping for ccity. strip bar next to 7-11. i dont go bc i like to 'eat' not just c menu. besides im tired of running out of 'ones' and asking if i could use change and if i can put it somewhere else instead. messy fingers. freddies is a cool bar [it happens to be a gay bar but welcoming to all].
The pizza was OK, the one time I ate there.
Seating is first come, first served. So if you want to be up there with rollins sweating on you, have to get there early, suck it up and eat the food.

cute! I don't wear lipstick or the harness, but it could be my brother ;)
Birchmere food – blech.

Though the nachos are good.
stick to the chicken fingers or the pizza. those items are passable, the rest of the menu is downright foul. if you're driving over there, eat at the fantastic afghan restaurant, that's called, simply, "afghan restaurant" that you'll drive right by before after potomac yard and right before you take the right on (can't remember the name of the street), to get to the birchmere.

just south of shopping ctr
damn how does rollins remember all the stuff he says? don't tell me theres a teleprompter!

did anyone see me, the great muschi, there??
No, but I saw Thatguy…Rollins is great, but I hate to argue with the guy's memory…the Wedrock show he was talking about was last autumn, but Johnny Ramone died in 2003, thus he must have confused his trip to DC with another time he was out there. Still, he is a great story-teller. Had a really fun time. Those of you going to the Black Cat tonight will have a blast. He's a trip.
