New Wrens Album Finally Gets Release Date
Partridge Family needs to get act together
Rod Waterman reports:
You see, this is serendipity. I just last night was talking to a friend who asked if I knew about the Wrens – he'd read a feature on them in Magnet and they just sounded like cool guys, with a sound we'd probably like. I had him pick up *my* copy of Magnet, which has "the wrens" written on the back cover, by me, so I'd remember to find out more about them.

Hmm, so interesting.

sounds similar enough to me. But what do I know I am just an egotistical liberal, apparently.

Anyone going to the Siren Festival at Coney Island? Will be interesting to see Idlewild… again, though the setting (tens of thousands of festival goers who may not necessarily be there to see them) is a little more familiar to them. Wasn't all that interested, but the weather forecast is for sunny day so figured what the hell. Leaving at 8:00 tonight, hoping to get to Soho before 1:00. See yas
Leaving early AM tomorrow.

Was debating it for a while, but the show on Wednesday made my decision for me.

Also looking forward to seeing the Dirtbombs, Radio 4 and !!!
If you want the new Wrens album they are selling a limited edition now at absolutelykosher.com. I generally trust ggw's musical tastes so just picked it up and damn it if they arent the same label that carries those hard to find Mountain Goats cds I have been looking for.
how many moutain goats CDs does one person need?
Markie told me it takes him at least three mountain goats to reach orgasm.

Its the rugged good looks and the pornstar poise that wins me over every time <img src="http://www.americanfocus.com/jpeg/wildlife/mountain_goat_rear_view.jpg" alt=" - " />

all of them goddamnit.
Don't 30 year old's look stupid pogo'ing at concerts? It's time to just enjoy the music and leave the acting like idiots to the young'uns!

Rhett, three words…..I Am Kloot
six more…remember where you heard it first!

Bags, seriously, check them out. Best new talent to come out for a long time.

I just put in my order for both Meadowlands and Secaucus. So, the Wrens will soon be newest in my cd player (remember the days when we said "on my turntable").

Most definately…mankie doesn't get too excited about new bands, so this is a biggie!
I am Kloot: These guys are brilliant.

I saw them open for the Webb Brothers at the Venue in Edinburgh two years ago and their CD has had steady rotation in my player ever since. There are very few discs that I can say this about.

Can't wait for the new album to be released.
