My mom usually listens to stuff like Yanni and Enya, so I hope this was a push in the right direction. Also gave her some Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, and Cassandra Wilson. Said she liked them all, but you know how moms are. She then got the Rod Stewart singing American classics cd for xmas that was just awful. I gave her Wilco (YHF) as well, and she seemed to like it.

Lambchop seems rather close to easy listening. Though in my book that's not necessarily a bad thing. They have the same jazz-country inflection as Norah Jones. What's the difference?And she's nicer to look at than Kurt Wagner…
