man, I was in last place for a few days, but alas, I'll have the lead by the weekend!!!!!
Fantasy Hockey
i wasnt paying enough attention, but I will now

Oh, that Savaard for Zetterberg trade is negotiable if you've changed your opinion at all on it.

oh and Gaborik and Whitney are on IR, did you know that you can place them on your IR and pick up two more guys?
you'll have to drop them when they come off IR but you are allowed to have 2 players on IR.
just a handy hint ;)
and i just picked up Ovechkin, who will be picking up the Calder trophy this year.
I'll take the consistancy of scorers over the hot-and-cold shutouts of Luongo any day.your team has 21 goals. mine has 17. i'm lagging in assists, yes, but that won't last. i sense a little luongo-envy…
Originally posted by BookerT:Luongo is a great goalie (maybe the best fantasy goalie this year), but he's going to have, what, 8 shutouts and go 40 and 30? Do the math on that with our points system, then compare it to a top scorer.

Do the math on that with our points system, then compare it to a top scorer.yes, i realize that the scoring system is set up so that a goalie will have to have one of the all-time great seasons in history to be even one of the top 25 players, but i'm still at a huge competitive advantage w/luongo and hasek over patrick lalime and the edmonton dudes. but i will say i've never played a points system fantasy league before, so it might take me a little while to get used to it and figure out the quirks.
but ask smackie if you think it will be easy to dispose of me.
Originally posted by BookerT:Yes, my goalies suck, but when we only dress 2, even the biggest advantage your two are going to give you over mine, I'm thinking, will be negated by the fact I just roll offensive juggernauts out there.

Question - can I change who I dress daily, or once I dress someone are they dressed for a week or whatever?

well, i should be getting more goals, now that kovalchuk is signed. . .next up, waiting for nash to heal.
Originally posted by Venerable Bede:Ha, I can understand those frustrations. I drafted Datsyuk in the 5th round with him signed in Russia. Also, my team, too has seen some big injuries… Gaborik, Ryan Smyth, Tkachuk. Hopefully when they get back to full strength I can really get the offense rolling.

Originally posted by Venerable Bede:I meant "injured" in that he's not even playing. I knew his output would be down from 2 years ago, and was only counting on him as my third LW, a position I have a glut at anyway. Smyth hurts me, and I think Gaborik, when he's back, will tear the place up under the new rules.
