Are there any reviews out there of recent live performances?
im in. (for the nyc show anyway). everyone i know here is seeing the arctic monkeys.
probably. its the same night as editors. can't decide which to attend as i'm sure both will hit the stage at the same time. wish editors was an early show so i could just pop over to the black cat after.
I have tickets for both Editors and Hoodoo Gurus. I keep hoping for some strange occurance that will allow me to see both, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

if anyone has time tonight (after the show) could you post the setlist, or anything you remember them playing. I havent heard their stuff in awhile, and it might pay if i recognized some of their stuff. how sad of me.

There are too many good tunes for them to play them all, but I really would love to hear something like "Castles In the Air", which could melt butter as far as I'm concerned. Been totally jazzed for this show for weeks.

The BC site says doors at 8:00. Based on that does any one have any idea for set times?

Show was good. Thought the bass player was a bit sloppy at times. Would have liked more off the first 2 albums, but overall very satisfied.

The crowd was thin and the sound sucked, but neither of those are the band's fault.
Other than Magna Cum Louder, I haven't listened to much Hoodoo Gurus in the last 10+ years. I had forgotten that they had a whole bunch of great songs. I thought they played really well considering the club was 1/3 full, at best. Probably not the best way to start off your stateside reunion tour, but they were endearing and I wish them well. I thoroughly enjoyed their set.
I was at class and missed all but the last three songs from the Fake Accents. The first two I heard confirmed the "Pavement" comparisons. The last song was fantastic.
