The O's

Well, you're not going to play Tampa every night.

I'd hold off until after you face the Sox this weekend to give a fair assessment of this years squad.
I thought the Orioles usually play down to the Rays.
glenn davis?
It' so nice that the Red Sox (& the Yankees) get all those extra home games when they come to Baltimore
The only reason so many Boston and Yankee fans come to b'more for the games is because they can't afford to go in their own home towns. It would be nice, if they invaded our stadium, if they were at least cordial and not complete and total jerks when they attend the games.

That said, I'm looking forward to the Orioles season. It'll be tough, but I think they have some hope this year.

Also looking forward to the June 24th game against the Nationals.
So transportation and lodging costs are less than actual ticket prices? Doubt that. I have purchased tickets for both Fenway, and Yankee Stadium, and the prices aren't that much more than Camden.

sorry, but its true. if you dont get tickets on the day of sale…then you could be looking at "for weekend games" $200-$300 a TICKET for games at Fenway, from scalpers. if you and 3 of your pals wanted to go to a 3 game series, you're talking…$600 a piece just to get in. multiply that by 4 and thats $2400 for 3 people to go to a weekend Red Sox series.

12 tickets to an O's game = $400 MAX.
gas from Boston and Back = $200 Max.
4 nights in a Baltimore hotel = $750 max.

$1350 for 4 people to go to a series in Baltimore. and get pretty good seats. Trust me on this Rhett, i know many people who do this every year.

sure occasionally you can find a good deal and get a cheapy ticket to a thursday game against Cleveland. but not on the weekend.

Plus, for my pals, its about the roadtrip and the weekend fun running around a different town.

I assume you are talking more about Yankees fans. I have been to 9 out of the last 11 orioles/red sox games in baltimore and i NEVER see fights, arguments, sox fans tormenting orioles fans…NONE of that. So either you dont really go to the games and just figure they're all jerks, you had ONE bad experience…or you are not tolerant at all.

or you're talking about those asswad Yankees fans! :)
I guess I stand to make a good profit on the two tickets I have to Fenway for a weekday game against the Twins in September, even if one of them has obstructed view?

Probably not as much as I will make on my six extra tickets for the Cubs vs. White Sox at Wrigley?…

though i can see how its generally annoying anytime fans from another city come and take over a visiting stadium!

blue jays home games always have a fair share of Sox or Yankees fans, too.

Kevin Millar never won the batting title. It was Bill Mueller.

That douchebag Angelos is really pissing me off. Just give Melvin the 27 million he wants over three years. He's earned it.
hahahaha. I am suprised i missed this in my first reading of this thread. yes, Bill Mueller won the batting title in 2003 not Millar.

I wonder if Angelos knows this!!!!???
