on the upside, maybe you can hit up your dentist for some good pills, and float on in to the festival without a care in the world… or an inkling of who's on stage.

How far is Tinton Falls from Princeton?
looks like i will be taking halo 3 night off, so you've got plans tuesday. call or email and we can work out details of getting you to the 'burbs.

anyone else planning on being in front of their 360 that night, my gamertag is freak930. i'm a bit rusty, but looking forward to losing sleep that night.

Awesome.

Wanna come into the city for Microsoft's Halo 3 launch party from 6-8? If that stuff interests you, I've got a hookup…

Maybe we should get some ink too.

Good, because I was working out train times to Baltimore and deciding how bad it would be to wear a suit to QOTSA. I was pretty sure it would have been very bad.
maybe a christmas sweater would have been better

btw, i'll see if my upstairs neighbor will be up for halo.

In Baltimore and sold out. I don't think I could get to Baltimore in time (work function Wed. night), otherwise I would have joined Bearman for sure.
queens of the stone age at Rams Head Live is NOT sold out, dont know who told you that.

I can't imagine how Vansmack could possibly be happy with the tangential nature that this thread has exhibited. This thread is about him, damnit.

just sayin man, false information. no one needs it!
Thanks for the heads up on the QOTSA show. I was misinformed (and am a little shocked) but I still don't think I could swing it and ditch the suit at the same time.

As for the Kings of Leon/BRMC show - is anybody from the board going to this? I only had it on the list for the forum gathering potential, but if you throw a party and no one shows, well, it's not much of a party, now is it?

Sounds like Smackette will be looking for a place to hide out so she can sub for the A team, my lady friend won't be coming so she could keep me in line because now I'm planning to drink for two, leave no Chill behind.
Thank you for the offer to entertain smackette while I'm laid up in bed. I passed it on to her and her response was "Now what kind of wife would I be if I went to the show without you and didn't stay home and care for you?"

If life were a keeper league, she'd be top of my draft list. Oh, wait….
he is a handfull. that i can attest too.

the power of the smackie can be overwhelming when first introduced.

:D

smackie, i'll miss you this time around as i will be out of town while you're here.

It's probably for the best. I'm not sure if you're quite up for this just yet…

It's probably for the best, I'm going to be with a few college friends and even as we bear down on our 40s we'll still all be moaning about the spanking USC is going to put on us that night, not that we're not used to it…perhaps we can reprise our derisive chant that made us feel marginally better when a national power was beating our brains out in one sport or another with their fans shouting "Scoreboard, Scoreboard"…we'd retort…"That's alright, that's ok, you're going to work for us someday…" but alas that didn't turn out so well either….
:(
I will be at both KoL/BRMC shows (so long as my ex really did get me on the guest list like he said he did…my, wouldn't THAT be awkward!) however I will be trying my best to hide from KoL fans so I don't know how much "hanging out" I will be doing.

for the record, I'm really upset about this whole KoL + BRMC thing.
I always think it's funny when middle aged guys refer to their favorite sports teams as "We".

Well I don't think under 40 is "middle aged," nor was the "we" a reference to a team but rather my friends and I. As for the "us," that was the university as a whole and as long as they keep getting alumni contributions it's safe to think its "us" getting embarrassed on national tv.
it depends on how long you live. 4 years old could be middle aged.

s'true.
