Libertines and DC9 after party rollcall

Alright! I'll be there all alone, and I def plan on going to the after party, even if that means that between the hours of 2am (DC9 closing) and 5am (metro opening) I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Might there be anyone going that will be heading home from the after party in the direction of College Park that will that's willing to give a ride to a poor carless college student? I'll be the brown haired guy with the St. Andrew's Castle Tshirt and leather jacket.
Definitely going to the show. Not sure about the after-party. That probably depends on what time the show lets out. It is a school-night, after all.
I will definitely be at the show. Like Bombay, I'm not sure about the after-party. I'm still recovering from CMJ. Who knows, though.
Yeh, but will you all be at the after-after party?
not that anyone doubted, but i shall be there, school night be damned!
Can't do it…if it were a Thursday, I'd buck up and push through, but I have a busy week ahead and just can't be out 'til the mornin' hours (even if that's only 1:00, 2:00 in the morning).
i'll be there! probably staying for the afterparty as well as long as the show doesn't end too late. like i said, i have a two-hour drive home afterwards. i'll need caffeine.
Good thing they didn't bring Pete on this tour. Now there will be enough smack and crack for everyone at the afterparty.
I'll be there for both … by the way, what the hell is this after party going to be like? are one of the libertines going to be spinning, or is it going to be like one of those meet-and-greets with joe millionaire at platinum.
well if it's anything like the new york afterparty, it'll just be people wandering around getting drunk with the libertines doing the same thing. nothing that special. i hope this dj is as good as the one in nyc, he was spinning blur and stone roses and it was great.
I'll be there, wouldn't miss this one for anything… afterparty too for a little while perhaps.
for five bucks you get to play with the singer's balls.

If I have my car tonight, and you don't live too far away, I'll get you home.
DC9bill thanks! If you could get me to College Park metro station i'd be eternally grateful. I'll be at the front near the stage at the concert, and i'll hang around out front afterwards. Black leather jacket, black st. andrew's castle tshirt, jeans.
Hi, All,

I'm new to this forum, but will be at both the show tonight AND the after party. (What the hell, every night is an after party for me!) Going alone. Guess I'll be in some sort of short dress (black or grey), probably with a necktie and possibly also a hat.

DC9Bill…you rock! (Especially if you are who I think you are, because you most generously gave me a ride home to Arlington one night…just thanked you in person 2 nights ago…right before everyone busted out singing along to Journey on the jukey!)

:D
Jeez - where is everyone? Must've been some after-party.

Fun night. Last time I saw Markie he was being escorted off the stage.
Excellent concert, I enjoyed Radio 4 a lot more than I thought I would. Is it just me or do they sound like a Happy Mondays 21st century style? The Libs put on a great show, though at times I thought Carl looked tired. I too was bouncing around onstage at the end. Some of us had talked to Gary before the show and asked him if it was cool w/ the band, and he said yes, but security might try to get people off. That ended up being the case…but at least in the middle of it I did see Carl kind of half kick the security guy in a "stop, this is alright" kinda way.

As far as the after party, I ended up not going. I hung around afterwards just outside 9:30 club, but wasn't approached by anyone claiming to be DC9, so I just decided to go home. Probably a good idea since i'm sitting here at work barely awake as is. Someone post and tell us how the afterparty went!
very fun show. the libertines' set started off a bit slow, i thought, but it certainly picked up about 4 or 5 songs in. i'm not familiar with the new record, but most of the tunes sounded pretty good, although certainly not as good as the best stuff from the first one. just good rockin' stuff. the drummer was shirtless the whole set, and then for the encore carl and the other guitarist joined him. y'know, with that drummer, i wouldn't want to be the other guy in the band with my shirt off, but hey, whatever. they both looked quite pubescent. not a hair to be spotted. it was also funny seeing at least 3 or 4 people right near me (and myself) compulsively checking their cell phones for updates on the baseball game.

radio 4 was one of the worst bands i've seen in some time. fucking terrible. tuneless, unoriginal and every song was exactly the same. and that percussionist was totally unnecessary. very shitty.

I thought they sounded more like a combination of Gang of Four and Big Audio Dynamite and ,occasionally, like INXS. The lead singer looked like a sawed-off David Schwimmer and the pogoing tom/cowbell/maraca/tambourine-playing guy with on-loan-from-Interpol suit disturbed me.

I think Radio 4 came first.

I remember seeing them 3 years ago in NYC. months before i ever heard of Interpol.
