is this really necessary….
it's the doodle version of mercury music prize… a big olde award to stimulate sales
Yes, it is. Anyone who would do this deserves to be shot.

Bluesman Keb' Mo' at first declined to sing "Folsom Prison Blues," saying he was disturbed by the lyrics.

''He said, 'That's a good song, but I can't sing it,' '' Stuart recalled. ''He said, 'That line about ''I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die,'' that turns my stomach.' I said, 'I understand that, so let's change it.' We recorded it, and he changed the line to 'They say I shot a man in Reno, but that was just a lie.' We got it down on the first take, and I said, 'Let me tell you about that line you just changed: That's one of the most sacred lines in country music.' ''

If you want Keb Mo shot for his musical crimes (which isn't without it's merits) then you should've stated "Keb Mo is one artist who should be shot"

"Keb Mo is one negro who should be shot" leads us to think you want him shot because he's a negro. Which I hope is not your feelings.

BTW…is "negro" more or less pc than "black". Just wondering, because I refuse to use the bullshit term "African American"
No, those were not my feelings.

I know the top 10 doesn't come out for another couple weeks, but that would be my top ten.

I'm sure the reviewers top 10 will be more diverse with acts like Dizzy Rascal, The Streets and Loretta Lynn added.

And I think the committee will give the prize to Loretta Lynn.

take out the hyphen if you want the right website (uppitynegro.com)

i read about it in CP too.
Just call me black, thank you. We as a people change nickname like every decade or so, so I don't expect white people (or anyone else for that matter) to keep up with them.

But negro is a bit dated. Just FYI.
So are mohawks and 80's music, but that doesn't stop some people from wearing them/ listening to it.

Let me ask you a question if you don't mind..

How do you feel about the term "African American"? It just seems silly to me. It would be like calling me "Scandavian English" because my ancestors came from there most likely.
