Yeah it's not that good…

Sorry to be a Brian Walalce, but I gave Easy Tiger a listen, and it was hand down one of the two or three worst records I've heard this year. Believe me, I wanted to like it, even though I think Ryan himself is a dick. But musically, it was just so bad. Particularly that Halloweenhead song.
i'm in for tonight as well.

He needs to starting doing drugs again, drinking and dating Parker Posey. He lost me after the "Wonderwall" cover.

you should try to get a hold of laura tonight, as she might be with me before or after. perhaps we can have a beer and gush over Radiohead together ;)

yeah, i was trading text messages with her while i was flying back from Vegas. I haven't had a chance to call her yet…my roommate and I will be rolling in. PM me your cell and I'll hit you up with mine.
he was very good in Pittsburgh last eve.

played for 2.5 hours

came on a 1/2 hour late

it was an "evening with"

band sounds great - like it was built to resemble the sound on Cold Roses.

I've seen him six times - including 2 with Whiskeytown. This was by far the best. he seems to mostly have his shit together & is playing the songs you actually want to hear.

Lots of re-interpretations of songs.

he quietly released an ep last week called Follow The Lights.

it's good. very similar to the tone of this tour.

it has the Alice in Chains cover on it. And more countrified versions of earlier tracks.

would make a nice pre-show listen. it's on iTunes.
does anyone know when his box set is being released?
damn, the high heels drag race is tonite as well..what to do…….
I will be there. I still have to try to get rid of two extra tickets too. Too bad they aren't good seats.
wow. this crowd was shit. seriously. freebird? summer of 69? pathetic.

then ryan heckled the crowd with a megaphone and it was awesome.

my fourth time seeing him. and probably my favorite. the sound was perfect.
fairly solid, just a bit too much guitar wanking at times.
well, he was wearing a Dead shirt.

also, it's a shame most of the posters were damaged by the merch ladies.
The crowd was terrible. I was a bit disappointed by the show; there was nothing technically wrong with it but it just wasn't what I was hoping for.
i will be brief, but i had never been to DAR and after hearing all of the great reviews of the place, i was hoping for such good things.

That place sucked. really really bad. and it wasnt even the sound, i thought the sound was decent.

everything else about that place was awwwful:

No drinks in the auditorium
no smoking outside while the show is on
no standing while the artist is on
the beer lines were atrocious
bathroom lines (for my wife) just as bad
the crowd were a bunch of losers (but i expect that from DC, sorry)
and an 11pm curfew??

I wont ever ever go back to DAR unless Thom Yorke is onstage.

that was fucking whack.

so bad, the show was only "ok". Not the hugest Ryan Adams fan anyway, but after reading the Pittsburgh setlist, i was hoping for better songs.

The Sun Also Sets and Easy Plateau were easy favourites
Where did you hear great things about DAR? Certainly never on this board.

that was sacrasm. i've never heard one good thing about the place. but i was thinking "couldnt be that bad!"
I was there to see The Strokes last year (?) and I thought it was a good venue. The sound was good. It all depends on your lifestyle and whether you're an urban hipster or not. To whit:

No drinks in the auditorium (don't drink)
no smoking outside while the show is on (don't smoke)
no standing while the artist is on (I'm tall. I don't need to stand to see anyone and it's not like you can dance to Ryan Adams)
the beer lines were atrocious (don't drink AND you'd really pay that much for a beer?)
bathroom lines (for my wife) just as bad (go before you come to the concert. DUH! Unless you have to go to the bathroom because of all the alcohol you've consumed. Then "Don't drink.")
the crowd were a bunch of losers (but i expect that from DC, sorry) (maybe it's not the crowd that were the losers in this case.)
and an 11pm curfew?? (MOST venues have some sort of curfew. You're spoiled by those that don't.)

Did they let you sneak in some pot? Could you take pictures with your cell phone? Did they let you smell your own farts?

Bitch, whine and complain is all some of you ever do. Did the DAR hall infringe upon your "rights" as a concert goer? Call the ACLU!

Re-read your complaints. You sound like a whiny little bitch. "Oh, I couldn't SMOKE DURING THE SHOW!" Wah-wah-wah! "The Beer lines were too LONG!" Someone give "Le Sonick" his bottle!

this is so stupid, it doesnt dignify a response.

but i'm now certain that "Brian Walalace" is not some 16 year old kid, who he pretends to be.
and that makes him more of a loser than he appears in his posts.
the crowd was particularly bad.

but I thought the second set was one of the better Ryan Adams sets I've seen.
