i've always been able to park on the street in a fairly close proximity to the place - lots of metered parking.
i'll be there. first time at DAR too.
ryan is on a hot streak. his last 7 or so shows have been awesome. he's mixing up the setlist, in a really good mood, and suprising people with songs he hasnt played in a couple of years. i have high hopes for this one.

was anyone here at the 9:30 club show on the rock n roll tour when he played the same song 4 times in a row? ha ha.
I hope / plan to be there. Parking has often been an issue for me at DAR…I heard it's hard to get a cab back to the metro? I was also looking for pre-food/drink info…Yet, with the parking issues, I may be carpooling without time to socialize beforehand.
Oh, yeah, I was at the RnR show…there were quite a few funny episodes that evening. :)

i'll call you tonight and we'll talk.

everyone else seems to think parking isnt too bad.
Either way, I hope have the opportunity to bump into you and the wife ! ;)
Sorry to be a Brian Walalce, but I gave Easy Tiger a listen, and it was hand down one of the two or three worst records I've heard this year. Believe me, I wanted to like it, even though I think Ryan himself is a dick. But musically, it was just so bad. Particularly that Halloweenhead song.
I've always parked on Constitution Ave, just before you get to 17th St. I haven't been there in a while, but I think you can park in there after 6pm.
Metro is only 5-6 blocks away. If you drive and don't get there early, there's a good chance you're going to park at least 3 blocks away anyway.
Set times? Opening act? Anyone?
he comes at out about 8:30 it seems and no opener

I'll be there if i can find a reasonable and decent single.

I asked in the FAQ forum and he apparently comes on right at 8pm with no opener.

This is my first time seeing him and I can't wait.

You should be able to get something decent outside DAR prior to the show. Good luck.
Found a 3rd row single…so now i'm going. show will probably get out to late to Metro, anyone suggest a good street to park on if i dont mind walking?
Smylie you're lucky to get a good seat like that! I tried finding something on ticketmaster's website and it's being weird on me. I really hope that this show isn't going to sell out.

Does anyone think it's alright for me to try to buy tickets at the door?

I'm going to metro to the show. I just really hope I can get a decent seat to see him. I haven't seen Ryan live yet and well, he's meant a lot to me this year.

I just skimmed the thread so not sure if it's been covered–street parking opens up at 6:30 and goes pretty quick. Start looking around Penn and down. If you try to get there close to the show you're going to end up in a $20 garage.

anyone know how long a typical ryan adams set is? just curious because im thinking about going to the go team show at the club aferwards.
There's no such thing as a typical Ryan set, which is one of the reasons I love going to his shows. If you really want to attend another show, plan on leaving the RA show before the end. I've seen him play for 3+ hours and I've seen him play for 75 minutes. It really ranges depending a lot of things.

Hope everyone has a good time at the show! I wish he were coming back to Portland this fall, but it doesn't seem likely.
There is scads of free street parking around DAR.
