any news on hfstival this year?

my thoughts exactly stpmatt. i mean, eminem? jesus christ i hate that boy. and goldfinger. when's the last time they played them? 96? by the way, that lineup sucks big time and the only few bands i'm interested in are the aforementioned goldfinger(very good live), unwritten law and papa roach(sue me, p roach has a couple tunes i like and they're a good live band). dammit, we need stone temple pilots or tool or foo fighters. eminem? wtf?
Kurosawa, it should be no surprise to you or anyone else that right now, as ever, I am listening to
virginradio.co.uk
apparently it is the most popular internet radio station in the world, but dont let that put you off…..
They are def. lacking the big names. I thought for sure they would get Korn (since they are touring this summer and are #1 on their most wanted). A very weak line up.

Kurosawa
Good choice. I cant stand radio 1 during the day though, too many beeps and boings for my liking, so Virgin is my default
Kurosawa, I click on your link and I see pics of System of a Down, Hooverstank, Jimmy Eats the World, the Strokes…the same crap that's on HFS. How is this station any different? It's still dumb corporate rock, right?
er Rhett, this is why
Evening Session 16 - 18 Apr 20:00 (GMT)
In Session: Idlewild & A
Sure all rock is corporate, but this is British corporate….
That new Idlewild song sounds rather Smiths-y wouldn't you say?
I have not heard it yet! Virgin is too busy playing the new badly drawn boy single to notice.
Well if its smithsy it cant be all bad…..
Try this station to avoid major label bands…www.kexp.org Never have to listen to Hooverstink on this station. And they don't limit themselves to rock…

Apr. 8-14, 2002
Artist- Title (Record Company)
1. Pretty Girls Make Graves - Good Health (Lookout)
2. Tom Waits - Alice (Anti)
3. now my station is playing Badly Drawn Boy "A peak you Reach"
fecking hell ggw
i thought it was the smiths…..i liked it a lot though
A bit Smiths like but not too bad. Still have guitars that sound a bit like bagpipes…. Big Country styleeee.
I like that though. We will have to see if it grows on me as much as Roseability.
I liked it as well.
Allegedly they'll be in the States this summer.
god i hope so…..
and it's my turn to buy you a drink at the next show ggw………what is your next show? i cant remember if you said you were going to spiritualised.
I'll be at Spiritualized - although I am more looking forward to BRMC.
Don't know if this is good or bad. My 8 year old nephew wants me to bring him with me Saturday to see BRMC. Don't worry, I won't be bringing him. If I were coming just for the show, I'd consider it.
As far as internet radio, I listen to some of the below and www.3wk.com; mostly. Sometimes www.nmeradio.com; but they get crappy a lot. There are loads of other stations out there too but I have to play around to find them. Oh, and www.wfmu.com.;
… http://www.xfm.co.uk; is a pretty decent "underground" station.
