Keep tryin! After over 30 min I finally got 4 in section 102.
Foo Fighters 11/11/11 thread
So he basically likes a couple of their albums, hates a few, and thinks a couple are ok. That's pretty tepid.
I could say the same thing about many bands, and pay $15 or less to see them.

Wow, what a glowing recommendation. $147 for that. How much would you pay for a band you actually liked?
i guess your reading comprehension skills do not enable you to grasp that he does like them? a recap: liked the first two albums, didn't care for the next few, thought the penultimate (that's fancy-talk for "before last") was pretty good and now likes most of the last album. where in there do you read that he doesn't like the band?
Still pulling 100's for NY if anyone wants code, pm me ;D
never mind didn't realize same passcode

Ok, let me know next time Foo Fighters play at the Velvet Lounge. I'll gladly pay $15.
I just now pulled two section 106 (forgot to put floor in), so you can still get tix.
Why not just go to see the bands you like at the Velvet Lounge or other small venues? Wouldn't that keep you busy enough to avoid paying $147 to see a band in a hockey arena?

This was one out of two pre-sales, correct?
Is there another presale? I'm not aware – this is the one that was announced by both 9:30 Club and Foos for their FB/fan club.
I love Wasting Light. And I'm looking forward to Social Distortion… If you don't want to go to this show why are you on this thread?
I am pissed I could not get floors.. I ended up buying some singles in the 100s for me and a few friends..
But I never had the option of Floor.. given there are 157 floors on Stubhub I would guess there were floors sold today. Oh well.

Wait a minute! Are we talking about the FOO FIGHTERS? Nirvana's drummer's "Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band?" THAT band? Jesus, what day is it? How long have I been asleep?!!?
Brian
Sometimes I splurge. Do you always buy the cheapest shoes in the store?

Hey wait a minute…Ringo is my favorite Beatle!! So what if he only wrote like, 2 songs? He MADE the Beatles. Those other drummers didn't have his boyish charm and cool fingerwear.
I buy my shoes at thrift stores, during 50% off holiday sales.

I think the more appropriate question is "have you ever spent $147 on something that I would not be interested in?"
I'm out. Pulled some 100s seats, but nothing within the first half of the arena. I can't buy tickets Friday because I'm working and won't be near a computer. Guess I'll have to try a day or 2 before the show to see what opens up or what I can find on Craigslist. Unless one of you miraculously have an extra Floor ticket. I promise I'll make it worth your while and buy you beer. Bombay knows I'm good for it!

It was a DC101 presale, too. Same password.
That makes SO much sense now. I knew something had to be up. It might as well have been a general sale then. I'd guess they put up a few more tickets than DAR can hold. Friday will likely be an easier grab for folks.
Ok - I knew multiple presales were going on but didn't know they were all rolled into one.
I didn't even try to get tix.

i also got an e-mail from the verizon center, inviting me to a "special venue presale". password: ROCK.
And it's true – openers for this show are GREAT. Joy Formidable *tore it up* at Lolla on Sunday…
