Foo Fighters 11/11/11 thread
fail. got in at 10am on the dot. no tickets.
Dude. REALLY????
out of about 20 pulls, i was offered 400's twice (after 4-5 mins of trying). i got in fast, requested 100's on my first pull, and got nothing. used "best available" after that. if there was anything good to be had, the bots got 'em all.
anyone get anything?
nope
Wow - Got in immediately. Asked for Main Concourse. Pulled 104 and threw 'em back. Tried "Best Available" ever since and still coming up empty. Just a presale. More on Friday. Damn that was fast though.
After 10 minutes I got two GA. My wallet hates me.
$ 147.70 for 2.
$ 147.70 for 2.

not surprising - new york is cooler than DC. they are, like, SOOOO over the foos.
ok just pulled a floor for NY so I got it ;D
they're only doing one song from the first album?
I was pretty much over them until I heard Wasting Light. I liked the first two albums and then they basically started writing soundtracks for grocery stores. In Your Honor was pretty good… but the new one I can listen to all the way through, for the most part.
Wow, what a glowing recommendation. $147 for that. How much would you pay for a band you actually liked?

No, there are TWO other stadium shows in NYC, so lots of folks already have tix to something….
It's a a bargain, when compared to the Rolling Stones $400 price tag 5 or 6 years ago.
I did get section 113 after 10 minutes, which is right beside stage, but I only want floor GA. Have the two seats for insurance. As I said in other thread, this is effing nuts and it's sick that over 100 floor seats were up on stubhub by 10:15.

i guess your reading comprehension skills do not enable you to grasp that he does like them? a recap: liked the first two albums, didn't care for the next few, thought the penultimate (that's fancy-talk for "before last") was pretty good and now likes most of the last album. where in there do you read that he doesn't like the band?
PS, in both presale and general sale my group of five did NOT get GA tix for the Philly show. Does not bode well for DC, Grohl's hometown.
I remember bands like Van Halen, Queen, Rush, Aerosmith, etc. playing my local hockey arena growing up. Tickets were like $8-$10.
