Judas Priest announce first studio album since 2008
Redeemer of Souls will be the metal legends' 17th album and the first to feature guitarist Richie Faulkner

Heavy metal titans Judas Priest have announced their first album since 2008, and their 17th studio album in all. Redeemer of Souls will be released on Columbia in the UK and Epic in the US on 14 July.

Guitarist Glenn Tipton told fans not to expect wild experimentation. "Sometimes in the past we may have come under fire for being too adventurous musically ? so we have listened," he said. "From start to finish, Redeemer of Souls is 18 songs of pure classic-Priest metal."

Priest is always welcome in my book….for some reason I thought they were retiring…silly me…

They're scheduled for two sets at Lock'n in Sep.

sounds  interesting that tweedy will work with other people and do something different cause yes they've been done since the jay bennett mix for yankee hotel foxtrot… ;D

rock and rollers should be more like jazzers or willie nelson…. work with others..try different stuff…

IT only took a little over 30 years. 

I wish all bands/artists with as long of a career as Swans would continually put out good music.

The debut Ex Hex LP is recorded and mixed. Hopefully we'll see something by late summer.

The new Parquet Courts lp is kind of a mixed bag. Shame cause I love the first one.

Priests is pretty good. Might try to see them next week.

New album by Trash Talk is awful.

Almost forgot……the King Buzzo acoustic album is surprisingly good.
