new bowie album blackstar drops jan. 8 (birthday 69).. in retrospect new day was just a bit too sedate and normal for me so I hope this is true although it almost reads made up:








The album is mentioned in The Times ( UK) The article claims a "Bowie insider" described it as "completely bonkers" and says the album is 7 songs/45 minutes & the music is " long jazzy jams mixed with the kind of driving beat pioneered by Can and Kraftwerk"
The single is " 10 minutes long and contains Gregorian chants, a soul section, various electronic beats and bleeps..,There is no radio edit either;it's all or nothing."

i wonder if "sue" or "tis a pity" from that recent rsd 10" will be on there.
those were pretty "bonkers" tunes, but i'd to like to hear him go 'totally scott walker' on us.
