new eminem…not that excited, but do love the Hitchcock ref
and barely recognize MM

although I'm a little more interested now…kinda a dark topic to take on
The Detroit rapper's new music video for “Darkness,” one of the album's 20 tracks, depicts a shooting at a concert. The lyrics and storyline of the video specifically allude to the 2017 mass shooting at a music festival in Las Vegas that left 58 people dead, making it the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. It closes with audio and video footage of news broadcasts from other recent mass shooting around the U.S. and an appeal to register to vote.

Calibro 35 - Momentum
Everyone’s favorite Italian Cinematic Funk Band is back with a little more adventurous/experimental sound. Is post funk a thing?

-The Chats - Australian "shed-rock" band - Played DC last summer-playing Fillmore SS in May- Smoko is their break-out single from last year or so
-The Wants - side band of members of Bodega. Bodega is a Brooklyn band that sound somewhat like Parquet Courts. The Wants have a new wave-dance band vibe. They are both playing at DC9 in March-late show.
-Shame- "post-punk" band from London; played Black Cat earlier in the year. Awesome in concert; great 1st album- Songs of Praise

New Cornershop due March 6th called England is a Garden
Second single from the album 'St Marie Under Canon' is an addictive ear worm - over that glam stomping rhythm sits some Stax style Hammond melodies…

Sweet, I second that, but make sure that it's clear we want a tour date in DC!

Was surprised to hear that Trail of Dead released their first album in a long while back on the 17th.
Even more surprised by how good it is.

Drive By Truckers - The Unraveling
It’s been a really LONG time since I’ve listened to DBT..but Having heard the buzz about their latest, I checked it out and can feel that anger in what’s happening around us in their songs. Looks like I have some catching up to do…

Too Free - Love In High Demand
https://toofree.bandcamp.com/New project from a forum alumni, the bandcamp page does a better job of describing the sound then I could . But, it sounds great in the car and that’s all that really matters in the end…
