The mujahideen resistance to the Taliban begins now. But we need help."I write from the Panjshir Valley today, ready to follow in my father’s footsteps, with mujahideen fighters who are prepared to once again take on the Taliban. We have stores of ammunition and arms that we have patiently collected since my father’s time, because we knew this day might come."

^ bravo, would read again
I whistled for a cab but Hutch was already near
His license plate said VINYL and there was dice in the mirror
I almost thought I should up and run
But I decided, "no forget it:" "yo, Homes - to Arlington!"
I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to Hutch 'Yo, Homes, smell ya later'
I looked at his couch, where his records were spun
Now it is my bed, as the Prince of Arlington

A little glimmer of positivity from our country. I wish these people the best.

You must be confusing us…. I think maybe by Sidehatch’s nom de plume “SideHutch” which he sometimes shortens to “Hutch” for some real boneheaded stuff
My name is Starsky

Yeah I remember that… I happen to agree with Hutch..even a stopped clock is right twice a day
My personal belief is we should take a good amount but not a huge amount…and the ones we don’t take we would work with our allies
Defining the exact amount is difficult not being privy to any estimate but I would be looking at the 20,000 to 50,000 range but circumstances will dictate
I stand by that and am glad we are doing so!
Some seem to feel we should take as many as want to come. I do not support that view…

missed this swipe at me…thanks for coming to my defense
I'm already hosting 3 FL felons and an afghani family of 8 (I guess they don't do birth control?)
And thanks to Gov Northam for allowing 6,000 Afghan refugees arrive in Virginia, and more are expected
Haven't seen bowser or hogan do shit on this topic
Oh yeah
Gov. Larry Hogan said Maryland expects to receive at least 180 Afghan refugees through the program. and will maybe take more…kinda weak sauce

I know, 1st world problems… but I love music and couldn’t imagine living without it
Taliban spokesman in interview confirmed music would no longer be allowed in public.
“Music is forbidden in Islam,” he said, “but we’re hoping that we can persuade people not to do such things, instead of pressuring them.”

No, no, its a great religion. Only Judeo-Christian religions suck; Islam and Hinduism are great and people who point out the flaws in these equally false belief structures are bigots.
