Credit to the Saudis who played their game. They were particularly disciplined applying the offside trap in the first half when the game should have been decided. Their second goal was fantastic.

Honest to God, thru told us they bought it for the month they were in town. They had no intention of even trying to get it home. I knew then, these were my guys.

i realize that it is de rigueur (some even claim it's avant-garde) to sabotage the savoir-faire of the Fronche, but zut alors did they look good today.  yes, it was just their opening match and there is a lot more soccer to be played… we haven't even seen most of the teams yet (it would be both risqué and a faux-pas to bid bon voyage to the pot-pourri of talent yet to be seen)… but if they keep that up, they'll be the team to beat.  they definitely had that je ne sais quoi… déjà vu cul-de-sac façade ricochet!
