agreed.  who'd want to associate themselves with those upstart colonialists?  TOTAL LOSERS.  so embarrassing.
I mean, you're being sarcastic but yes, actually? This country mostly sucks. Its creation narrative is lame and made up. People who collect American Revolution memorabilia are giant dorky losers.

People who then try to copy this iconography like it tells some story about how Christian Pusilic is the second coming of Jesus Christ (as opposed to maybe the 80th best soccer player on Earth?) brought here to lead a plucky bunch of upstart soccer players – who have one of the wealthiest federations in the sport, by the way, but prattle on – to a victory for overlooked edgelords everywhere are dorky losers squared. Like this is all very stupid. Flag waving and draping yourself in the stars and stripes is fuckboi behavior; doing it for Landon Donovan and the perception of the MLS is incredibly cuck behavior.
The Brit dudes who dress up like its the Crusades and yell "ITS COMING HOME" are also losers; this is not US specific. I mean, yes, the USMNT fanhood is a particularly toxic set of dweebs who no reasonable person could wish a second of joy in their miserable dork lives, but they're not alone.
jules, show us on the doll where the bad, bad soccer coach touched you when you were a child…
Mexico 🇲🇽 O U T out

I feel like if the US plays well they have a chance with Netherlands. I wonder how many of the eight round of 16 games will be decided by penalty kicks. Hoping no more than two.
Wow Belgium….

What a shame for Kevin DeBruyne

No way you can convince me Morocco is more than Belgium…really helped by Canada keeper’s gift of a goal

Shows how pointless FIFA rankings are…

Belgium 2
Italy 6
Denmark 10
just watching some highlights…I can't believe that Polish Keeper stopped that Messi penalty kick
That was an amazing save. Messi was angry at himself post-game but he kicked it well!

The JA set typically gets seats in this box

If this is what you are focusing on today you are doing the World Cup wrong.

it was more a jab at julian than anything
One would say Japan’s win was a fluke but they did the exact same to Germany. At a given point with their backs against it they put in some subs and attack attack attack and overrun you. It’s admirable. In a game where so many teams prefer to sit back and hope for a chance here or there the Japanese just go for it. Pardon the reference but it’s not meant as a put down: they went for it like kamikaze pilots… to just throw everything you got at offensive juggernauts like Spain and Germany is almost so insane that both teams got rattled and just lost their shit.
This pitch invader during the Portugal-Uruguay match was holding a rainbow flag.
The front of his shirt read 'Save Ukraine' and the back read 'Respect For Iranian Women.'
No 9:30 logo? Pffffft
Gorgeous second goal by Uruguay with great finish by Arrascaeta

One of the fun things is seeing players you know from club soccer triumph on the world stage… I remember seeing Arrascaeta play great in the Copa Libertadores (South American equivalent of champions) for a Brazil side and thinking damn my kind of player: a classic “10” of which there are fewer every day… Argentina, for example, doesn’t have one!
Although truth be told they have him playing on the right…

Teams seem to have given up on the “10”
Hoe about those kamikaze Koreans?
Well that sucked. Did the ref screw them over? Sure, he seemed to have it in for them from the get go. But you just can’t stop attacking trusting Portugal will beat Korea.

Rightly punished for being stingy.
Christian Pulisic has been cleared to play in tomorrow’s match versus Netherlands.
