The Walkmen available
LIVE at the Atlantis
I am bitter I had to miss it. Looks like everyone who is anyone was there…
Mothers….
Mothers….
Pix tomorrow. First impressions:
Sound is phenomenal as expected. Staph also well trained and highly professional.
Cool "corner stage" setup like DC9.
WFB has a 5-string bass….why???
No cell signal except on the excellent roof deck bar. There's a wifi network. What's the password?
The ground floor was bouncing when they played that song about walking 500 miles. Are we safe here?
There was a disturbing amount of airborne dust for what should be a pristine venue. What did you all do last night???
This place is fire. Literally. The fire alarm went off mid-set. A slight moment of confusion, but somebody just turned the alarm off and the band played on. Are we dead yet?
Seth showed up and played drums on a Foo song. The real drummer was better.
I gave the drummer a fist bump as he walked off the stage. He seemed annoyed, but I wasn't sure if that was directed at me or at Seth.
Spent most of the night stage right, behind the wheelchair section, at the bottom of the steps. Will be a repeat location if I arrive late.
Weird choice to have single occupancy restrooms. What's the worst that could happen? Is there money in selling broken soap dispensers and how do I make it?
Looking forward to seeing a real band here. And yes, those who got Foo tickets are in for a serious treat. I mean damn.
Hot take: I really don't like the Foos, but would see them here.
Nice touch with artwork / pix of the original location.

I'm not sure how I feel about all the fake graffiti.
I agree with said hot take above… speaking of Foos… does anyone know a regular peasant that actually scored tickets to The Foos?
Gotta assume 95% or more are friends of 930, Seth, insiders, VIPs, masseuses, DC movers and shakers, etc.

I would guess most of those set aside are for media. Then VIPs…Opening night was always going to be tough….my guess is there were 100 pairs out there for regular Joe’s but I don’t know
I know a guy who works security at Anthem who got two via staff lottery system which I thought was super cool. He is over the moon. I didn’t put in for it.
So nobody wants to go with me to Hot Chip?

I received a notification from my BOT that it pulled a ticket but then somehow the purchase failed.

Oh no, I bet some might pop up today before show. How reliable is your bot? ;D

It's antiquated technology, built on the same framework as the old Atomic Blocker, but it works good enough.

Saw them in Boston. Second show with Josh Freese. No disrespect whatsoever to Taylor, who was a sweetheart from all accounts and a great drummer…but Josh is such a powerhouse that it was the tightest Foos show I've ever seen. He's going to make a lot of Foo Fighters fans happy. It was spectacular. Atlantis is going to be sick…if anyone gets to go, please share stories. You'll have a blast.

I went to Boston and Sonic. Both awesome shows but yeah Boston was better for me and Josh was awesome. At Sonic he played with Sublime then went next to play with Foo Fighters. He does it all! ;D

Amazing coverage!
Seth and Dave G hanging by the podium…
I think I saw Challenged trying to scale the side of the building.
"Peep shows made it interesting." - Seth
"No Phone Zone." - Dody DiSanto
"Today is the 930 Club Day in Washington, DC" - Mayor Muriel Bowser

Muriel Bowser just proclaimed that today is the 9:30 Club Day in DC.
Shouldn't it be Atlantis Day?!?!
Shouldn't it be Atlantis Day?!?!
Paraphrased Seth quote: All cities have their rock stars. We're pretty lucky…we got Dave Grohl, Detroit got Ted Nugent
