LIVE at the Atlantis

It would be interesting to hear how many different people sent entries in, and the breakdown in how many per band, and how many first preference, second preference, third preference, etc. each band received. I know, I'm weird like that.

I would love to know that too. But it's not in Seth's interest to share it so we won't get it.

We'll see. If you're right, kudos for a great marketing strategy with the little lottery game, goosing people to enter a lottery for shows they might not be instantly buying tickets to the second they go on sale.

This is why I only bought tickets for one show, Hop Chip, especially because it's early. I'm not really interested in giving Ticketmaster interest free loans to see bands six months later anymore. I'd like to see Spoon at the Atlantis but I'd rather wait for tickets. If I don't go, whooptie damn doo.

Not necessarily true. I think the number one concern would be making bands that got the lesser number of entries look bad when, after all, they are helping you out. Even the less popular bands can do more business than 450 on a good night.

Spoon is in September. Do you understand how calendars work?

whoa I did the math, and the millions in the interest they will make off your $55 purchase in that six months is crazy
I think you figured out that it's not the fees, it's the INTREST!

Spoon would have been in my top 2, but I gotta hold onto the idea of getting a Duran Duran (never seen them) for half the price the same night.
It's not the interest that TM makes that bothers me, it is the interest I will lose on my $55 over 6 months. Assuming I can get 5% on a 6 month CD, that is around $3.30 in interest I'd be losing.  Sorry that is a no-go for me.  Just think what I could do with that $3.30.

I saw a few folks say that they got Bartees Strange approval as well.  Having only seen Bartees Strange approved posts, it looks like a show by show trickle approval.
