that the Communist Party of Vietnam is still in charge, for some reason I was under the impression it was a democracy
(apparently, it is more accurate to describe Vietnam as a socialist state with communist governance)

honestly, I just thought it was China, NK and cuba were the only ones
(and just found out laos is communist still as well)
welp, looks like 4/8 might break 40k at this rate

who knows where this will go, but I was eyeing NVDA in the low 90s and got cold feet

retraction…just went into the 3700s again

big traders are making billions on these fluctuations
I mean it just comes down to one question.

At the end of the day and over the medium to long term - as crazy as it sounds forget about Trump and tariffs- do you feel the US economy is strong?

I happen to believe that despite some poor governance we have the best most dynamic economy in the world so if I was advising people I would just tell them to keep buying on the dips if they have cash and are willing wait it out…. Never ever bet against the American people. We will get our shit together eventually.

This plan seems to be working out well
China said it will raise its tariff on US goods to 84%, retaliating to the hefty new tariffs on its imports that kicked in on Wednesday.

The move came after the Trump administration followed through on a threat to add a 50% tariff on Chinese goods, in addition to 34% reciprocal tariffs, raising the overall tariff rate on Chinese goods to 104%.

When pretty much all your electronics, household goods, textiles and appliances are ALL made in China…really not sure how this could do anything but crush budgets of anyone making under 200k household income
True….

But must confess am sick of us buying everything from a country that seems to loathe us and pokes us in the eye all the time. I don’t think it’s just me that feels like that…
Ok we did it but then we fell back a bit….so let’s predict when we will next hit 40k
Did it again!!

Not sure on my take on mr dimon, but that him and paul ryan are in support of expanding the EITC is kinda of interesting

Budget passed through House while everyone distracted. They get tax cuts and spending cuts. Now ‘deal’ can be made to relieve China tariffs and have another ‘euphoric’ rally in response.
well, not so fast as don't we need the senate as well
then there is the democratic filibuster
then the CR
who know where the stock market and inflation will be by then
