It wouldn’t be hard if the democrats were 25% as good at retail politics as the GOP. How much was the DJ up over the run of Joe Biden’s administration and yet how much was it the consensus of every man, woman, and child in this country that the economy was in the toilet come election time?
Many Trump voters have neither 401Ks or stock market investments.

Way oversimplifying
Did the stock market do well under Joe? Yes, very. BUT we were coming out of COVID, there had been really easy money out there, consumers were making up for lost time.
Too much so unfortunately. Supply couldn’t keep up and or ramp up fast enough. The government had printed billions and handed them out, interest rates had gotten ridiculously low….
This all led to inflation like we hadn’t seen in our lifetime. Inflation hit the lower and middle class hard. It’s regressive. Sure, people with stocks etc did well there but also things became more expensive. And there are many people out there without stocks or retirement plans. They didn’t benefit from stocks going up and got the inflation which affected them more…
I don’t know how liberals continue to ignore this….a liberal saying stocks went up sitting in his million dollar home is just totally out of touch with a majority of Americans living paycheck to paycheck and struggling with inflation and fairly sticky wages. They are falling behind and they feel it.
Having said that of course democrats should have hyped the stock market but more importantly they should not have completely ignored inflation and immigration.

I mean an $800K home in 2018 shot up to $1.3 million 5 years later.
That may be welcome news for the person who bought that 800K home but what about those that need housing today?
Until liberals understand and begin to talk about these things - instead of “did you hear what Trump said!!” And “Orangeman bad”-we are doomed.

Ok, those are some good arguments
we did have it good for soo long in the US
easy to forget we've had almost no noticeable inflation since the mid 80s
and overall goods became cheaper to thwart that
for instance, gas
welp it sure seemed cheaper getting gas in the $1.xx range in the 80s, but it's actually cheaper today (and cars are WAY more effienct)
$1.19 in 1980 is equivalent to about $4.54 in today’s dollars
I'm sorry, I'm still a little perplexed how the stock markets are just so bullish on the future with what we know today and how the last 100 days have been
I really would have thought investors would be running for the doors
I hear a lot of my liberal friends with their plans on divesting from the american markets
I have to think they are wrong because why on earth would the big money act like it is now, while they may like trump…they like their money more

Well I wouldn’t say we had it good except on inflation ….the last great economic boom was the 1990s. But inflation has made it that much harder for many Americans to make ends meet. Also, people measure how they are doing compared to others and it’s become an increasingly unequal society. Increasing inequality - in addition to inflation- also fosters bitterness and feelings of resentment. A sense that it’s all rigged. In addition, expectations about standards of living go up over time so when we find ourselves stagnating we get bitter cause we expect to do better over time: to make progress. Add to that the new reality were many people go from job to job year to year instead of counting on one or two jobs over a lifetime and it’s no wonder people are becoming bitter. There’s a lot of social psychology to all of this…

goodness the DJI can't be stopped, just topped a 10% gain since that massive drop when he did the tariff malarky
We are still below when he started 44,500
a -5.5% drop which isn't nothing
YTD is only around -2%
quite a comeback and much better than the 10% drop
Those who bought on the dips were definitely rewarded here

If every time we “negotiate “ a crap deal (compared to what we had under Biden) Wall Street is going to go crazy then I guess he is right…it’s just weird

US-China trade deal announced. We give them California and they agree to sell us stuff again. #winning #TrumpMasterNegotiator
I know it’s terrible but I have zero faith in this administration.

It’s possible
But the market doesn’t care about your feelings and for some strange reason it is optimistic
We are getting ready to be black for YTD
Still below it’s high, but still after the turmoil and chaos that trump has inflicted on the global markets has NEVER been done
So for them to practically reward him… lots of ways to interpret that, but for sure they don’t think they are going to lose all their money, in fact they are doubling down

Stock market today: S&P 500 jumps, set to wipe out 2025 losses
had United Healthcare not taken a 16% dump today, the DJI would be looking good too
wow UNH is down almost 50% in the last month!
DJI would be over 44000k if that hadn't happened

umm bitcoin has gone up 25% in the last month…so I'd say it's doing well
the Trump admin is very crypto friendly (especially since he made a boatload of untraceable fund on his meme coins)
hard to say where it's going long term. It's really not a currency, but more of a speculative play and a way to launder money
What is very appealing about crypto, outside its use as a digital currency, is its decentralized nature. Unlike traditional systems, blockchain distributes control and trust across a network, making it resistant to censorship and single points of failure. Nothing has combined these features with global scale, transparency, and financial incentives quite like blockchain. So far, most industries have not fully taken advantage of this model, but I expect new technologies—especially in finance, supply chain, healthcare, and governance—to explode as they adopt these decentralized approachThe big push is to get a 'stablecoin' as no one really wants a currency like Argentina's
If comparing the original “peso moneda nacional” of the 1970s to today’s peso, the cumulative effect of currency reforms and inflation means that 1 current peso (ARS) is worth 10 trillion of the 1969 pesos moneda nacional

what I would consider good news as these short sellers are really fucking with the markets and are just parasites
From the market bottom on April 8 through May 20, short sellers have lost more than $250 billion,https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nvidia-tesla-lead-over-250-billion-in-short-seller-losses-during-massive-market-rally-133340011.html

So you are now issuing a retroactive to March 10 buy order that supersedes your call to sit on the sidelines with cash?
Thank you Sidefi!
