Why not?
If you sell cars to two customers in one day, does that mean that the customers get only half the service they would have received if you had only sold one?
If I sell the same car twice, someone gets a used car!
930 is the salesman, B&S is the car..yours is a bad analogy.
So B&S is playing a single show and then 9:30 is selling tickets to what? A "used" B&S show?
And you say
my analogy is bad…….
B&S is providing two cars, an early one and a late one. 9:30 is selling both of them.
This really isn't a difficult concept.
Your complaint about moving the early show to a start time you may not be able to make is a valid concern. But this idea that it will only be half a show isn't.

B&S are the pitcher, they now know they will be left in for a long time, so are bound to save some energy for the latter innings…OR….will pitch inferior pitches during the latter innings.
Had the pitcher had the option of cutting the earlier innings down to two outs instead of three knowing he was going to be in for the long-haul, I'm sure he would've….B&S have the option to cut short the earlier innings because there's no set rules for how long an "innings" has to be during a show…
Now do you understand?
I hate baseball.
I understand your argument, but I don't think that B&S playing two shows is as physically demanding as a pitcher pitching nine innings instead of five. It's not like B&S is Andrew WK or something.

this deja vu with a slightly different cast of character..
wasn't you who said buyer beware in response to the practice of other concert promoters who dropped ticket prices or began offering two for one tickets in the face of sagging ticket sales. this after the hardcore fans had ponied up for full price tickets.
loads of artists do two shows in the same night, this is nothing new. i'll bet tom jones does two shows most nights in vegas…

I'll trust you on that. You have much more experience blowing things for long periods of time.

can anyone give me a review (positive or negative) of a previous instance of the two shows in one night? of a real band, not from a (although awesome) movie?

Seth, what gives? [/QB]
you're terminally unhappy?
the real reason I decided to go ahead and let them do another show that night (it was their idea) was so I could see just how ridiculous a thread could get
apparently it worked
I will be happy to refund your money, by the way, if you can't go to the show without driving yourself nuts
