I could be heading out to this one solo, anyone want to buy me a beer? Is it gonna sell out before i buy my ticket?
BSS and Stars...
Well Poorlulu, Pollard, Rhettballs, Celesteballs and I are going for starters. So you shouldnt be too lonely. I thought there was a chance it might sell out. BSS seem to have a lot of good word of mouth.
I could possibly pick up a ticket for you tionight. Stellastarr never emailed back.

I'm going. With my chatty friend. I will certainly buy you a beer, my new music and local venue guru-in-the-making….
I'll be there.
already bought a ticket
nkotBALLS will also be there.
You just figured out what I had pegged out as tomorrow's nickname. Sorry I haven't honored you yet, that's a good one.

That's pretty funny. I was actually going to switch my name to that once you started changing yours.

I bought my advance tix for the BSS show last night, and there were three other people buying for the show too– they bought 4 each. The poor Black Cat advance-ticket-sale-guy was lookin' quite frazzled as more people approached him for BSS tix right after us.
Gotta say, this is lookin' like a sellout to me.

My friends and I already have our 3 tickets as well…my mother always told me that it's better to be safe than sorry!
Oh yeah, I bought Redsock a ticket!
The decemberists either sold out or got very close. So that means I definitely expect BSS to sell out. I dont know why they dont train one of the other morons to work the ticketmaster machine.
Its horrible spending over $100 on tickets and made to feel guilty for doing so.

I had a couple friends buy BSS tix last night too. I agree on the sell out possibility for this one.
I'm planning on going to this show too…assuming I can get a ticket in time. I think I'll stop by the Cat tonight.
Mark E, I still owe you something for that amazing DVD. Thanks again…

Infact if there is anything else you want?
It would make me happy if you bought some of the albums you like from the bands at shows though….. Say when cinerama come back this year, I need to be seeing you spend a good $50 on theirs and the wedding present back-catologue. :)
Okay, so the Dears hit the bottom of grotty's SXSW list. Anyone else know anything about 'em?
I'll be at the show. Expect me to shout loudly when Stars play the first chords of Heart.

I found them barely tolerable. They seem to get a very strong reaction either way - love em or hate em. Someone on donewaiting.com gave them a very favorable review. And Pitchfork liked this record: calls it britpopish: no cities left
But there were many people walking out of their gig that night. I only stayed because Lucero was next.
We deemed them "show-core". The singer would start off singing tunes that would not be out of place in a highschool musical then a punk-like eruption would occur - then it would be back to the showtunes. Other songs just seemed like indie wanking.
Everyone will probably love them…what do I know?!?!? :p

Kurosawa, glad you'll be at this one, as I'm skipping the Fever tonight. What's your M.O. – do you also always arrive for the first band, and do yo plan to stake out up front territory? I'm hitting this one it time for Stars, definitely. I heart Heart as well….(thanks again, Markie!)
I have a ticket, but I am considering skipping as I have a work event and neither the Stars or BSS albums excite me much.
