Bands you'd reunite

I'm addicted to the series, even the Klymaxx edisode was better than an expected.

So who would you reunite?

My first choice would be Rockpile (Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds, Billy Bremner, Terry Williams) Even though the group only released one proper group. They all worked together on Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds solo records. I'd crawl across broken glass to see Rockpile do a show.

Other choices include Gang of Four, The Specials and The Kinks (yeah right), Hoodoo Gurus, dBs, Plimsouls, Let Active.
The Smiths

The Jam

The Police (I wouldnt go and see them, but there is hope the other guy might twat sting)

The Pixies

I hate the reunion things. They mostly make me wish I had seen the bands in their prime.
Husker Du, The Bongos, Utopia, Guadalcanal Diary (although I think they play once in a blue moon).

Minor Threat, Rites of Spring or 9353 would be great too.
Talking Heads

Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers

Pixies

Pogues

The eighties' Waterboys
Husker Du…!!! I've heard two of their songs on FRED and both were complete and total SHIT. Also heard Fugazi and some song called "reclamation" or something like that…utter shit as well. Not impressed with the Pixies either, which FRED plays a lot of….for some reason I remember them being much better.

I'd reunited (original line-ups only of course)

Stranglers
Waterboys
Japan
Cockney Rebel
Happy Mondays
Bronski Beat

I'm sure there's more but I need to go for a pee!
Hey KosmoV you can fly to Sweden next month and see a near-Rockpile line-up:
Dave Edmunds, Billy Bremner, Terry Williams, Geraint Watkins, Paul Martinez, Micke Finell
For some reason they play Sweden all the time. Geraint Watkins is too cool- I dig his CD "Bold As Love"

Me, I guess I'd reunite Razz so there'd be a worthwhile local band to see
PIL,original lineup of course. The 1st few albums were fantastic.

I agree, FRED reminded me just how good they were.

(am I obsessed with FRED or what?) :D
Surprisingly, that's my favorite song by them.

I'll begin and end my list with Uncle Tupelo.

Though I suppose if they hadn't broken up, we'd have never had Wilco.

same here, I still pop out the cassette here and there. Second, or third that reunion!
Mine are so obvious….and also contingent on the original lineups (the 'Mats can use Slim Dunlop instead of Bob Stinson) and that they play clubs, not arenas or those friggin' outdoor places.

The Replacements
The Smiths
Big Star
Jellyfish
The Posies
Hoodoo Gurus
Husker Du

I'm sure there are more…
Catherine Wheel and Adorable would be my first choices. Then a little band that nobody's heard of called The Close Lobsters…

>>> Don't be so quick on the Lobsters!!! I had "Headache Rhetoric" and they were a damn fine band of Scotsmen! I love little bands that no one's heard of……I specialize in 'em from this period in time….
What a damn fine collection of bands! here's a few more I'd like another chance to see:
Radio Birdman
The Undertones [i.e. w/ Feargal Sharkey]
Thin White Rope
Simple Minds [w/ Derek Forbes & Mick MacNeil]
Tex Rubinowitz & the Bad Boys
Big Black
The Dream Syndicate
Marginal Man
Dumptruck
Mother May I
The Godfathers
The Neighborhoods
Zodiac Mindwarp & the Love Reaction
The Jesus Lizard
Sweet
The Soft Boys [again]
Holy Cow

Re Rockpile, I'd die to see them, but I don't think it will ever happen. My friend who books Bumbershoot tried to get Edmunds & Lowe to play together for last year's festival, and they wouldn't do it. Well, one of them would but the other said no way.
