Dylan 4/2 @ 930

i know there's another thread, sort of, on this, but i saw this on a Dylan website—says ticket are going on sale at the 930 box office at 10 AM on 4/2.

http://my.execpc.com/~billp61/dates.html#0402

it also initially said there would be a pre-sale at bobdylan.com on 4/1, but that seems to taken down now.

sorry if i'm blowing 930's cover on this, but this seems to be the worst-kept secret out there…
I can't wait not to be there.

And any guesses on the time of the event?
last time i saw him (t'was 6 years e're i saw him) he was drunk drunk drunk on stage– could barely sing– really sad to watch. but i've heard he's cleaned it up.
My coworker is incredibly excited about this…thanks for posting the info. I'm not a huge Dylan fan, but can appreciate his as a musician and songwriter. If anything, you have to love PJ Harvey's cover of Highway 61! :)

6 years ago is still this decade..right? According to another board member what you saw is his best performance in decades.

I believe my words were "his shows in recent years have been the best in two decades." Meaning that there have been numerous bad shows in the last two decades but that they have recently become much stronger.

Of course, I'm sure you've seen him numerous times over the last 20 years and are basing your opinions on experience. Or, perhaps you are merely speaking out your ass, per usual?
actually, since our plans to see NSO play Mahler are blown (the show's at 1:30pm, what are they thinking??) i may try to go…

any idea how this would work? is it sales at the club only or online too?
I'm still holding out for the Beastie Boys… which was the first rumor going around, way before Dylan was mentioned!

Actually, I'd prefer this too. But only because I already have Warner tix for Dylan.
NSO? Mahler? Go back to Russia!

I wouldn't want to see either live, but there is something funny about preferring a joke band like the Beastie boys to a serious, important artist like Dylan.
Sorry, skonster, they're sold out of $20 cheap seats now and it looks like a total sellout for tomorrow…

That statement was just plain idiotic.
i'd been in for a beastie boys show… especially if they did it like lollapalooza where they played actual instruments plus the rap thing. SABOTAGE!!!!!!

I respect Dylan as an artist but he is not my cup of tea. Never owned a Dylan album, probably never will. And while I will be the first one to say that the 9:30 is the absolute best place to see a legendary artist of that caliber (I've seen B.B. King, James Brown, Loretta Lynn and Johnny Cash at the Club, among others, and I think the 9:30 does all of us huge favors by booking the real legends), I find it hard to get excited about an artist I personally don't like. I'm not saying that the 9:30 has to book around my tastes… only that I would be pretty excited to have a surprise Friday night show be someone I'd be glad to see.
It's now unofficially official. No surprise there. No price listed as of yet though.

Well, the official email says 7pm for doors.

Is there an opener? Or would Bob being going on at 8pm?

I'm hoping to make a late show (11pm) somewhere else and wondering if I could pull both off.
