lol. good find.

How did this gig backing up Chuck Berry come about?

We didn't do anything. Geno (their manager), he works so hard, that's a question for him, maybe. But it's great to play with Chuck Berry. We didn't know he was still alive! (Laughs.)
The weather looks great for the weekend, high of 83 and a few clouds both days. This should be much better that the heat of last year.
No V-Fest poster this year (maybe next year.. Seth?) but I will have lots of fun stuff that is hard to get now (or ever).
I won tickets! :) See you all there.

My tentative schedule:

SUNDAY
BRMC 12:00 - 12:45
Chromeo 12:50 - 1:30
Shudder to Think 1:35 - 1:55
Rabbit in the Moon 2:00 - 2:20
She & Him 2:35 - 3:25
Iggy & The Stooges 4:50 - 5:10
Black Keys 5:15 - 6:00

Terrible thread.

Mods, please ban anyone claiming to attend V-Fest.
Also, please ban anyone who claims that, after actually paying money for a ticket, they wish to spend time watching alt-rock-radio-retards Stone Temple Pilots, rather than witness the legendary Bob Dylan, who will be playing not even 200 yards away.
Great weather hope no rain.
The weather looks like it will be 83 and sunny. Yeah! Granted I will be in a tent so no neck tan for me.

I shall be there for BRMC on Sunday. Dunno about anything else, we'll have to see. May depend on how long it takes me to get fried.
I won two 2 day passes yesterday from 94.7 the globe. So it looks like my friend and I will be there on Saturday and Sunday. I seriously can't wait. It's pretty awesome that I won tickets for knowing that the cure's kiss me kiss me kiss me was released in 1987.

Somebody has to check out Hollywood Undead (is that their name) on sunday and report back…
Leaving for Baltimore in a half hour. Can't wait to see Chan Marshall and Bloc Party today!!
Hope everyone is having an amazing time out at the festival this weekend! One couldn't have asked for nicer weather in August for a festival. Kinda wished I had at least made tentative plans to attend, too late now… Oh well Kosmette and I are off to see Dark Knight if I can ever get her off the PS3 :D

Is Underworld performing with a band on this tour or is just the two of them?

assuming it's the same set-up as APW, it's just the three of them and a what amounts to a whole studio on stage. see my pix in the APW thread.

in case someone is reading this from the field: do not miss underworld. looking at tonight headliners: between jack johnson, foo fighters and underworld, underworld is the better show. trust me. and i'm a big foos fan. you will see the foos again. underworld on tour, with this big a rig, is the rarity… also has the better music, IMO.
looks like there's 3 of them but the third person isn't Darren Emerson but rather Darren Price (just some DJ who helps in the live show).
