people always offer me cds to listen to at work, of course I dont want to be rude so I listen and then I have to say, yeah it was ok, not really my thing, but not bad, which for some reason says to them that I loved it and they only bring in more

The people at my wife's work, including the 40something company president, are trying to get her to read Harry Potter books.

That's why it was odd that they would suggest it to Rhett's wife.

And people at my office ask me if I've seen the Star Wars movie. Why would I want to see such mainstream crap? Next they'll be asking me if I've bought the latest Dave Matthews album.

I always think it's hilarious when elitist music fans on this board start talking about the latest blockbuster movies out of Hollywood.

Yes, nod, mumble fake agreeance, walk away.
I get free stuff sometimes and pass along to Kosmo. Then he has a vast amount of music for any type of show. ;)
One doc appt. I had, they picked the music [for me]. I told them it was rather loud. They said, "What?
You don't like John Mayer??? What would you prefer?" I said, "Quiet."
They looked like a bunch of hurt puppies.
Talk about stereotyping. They took one look at me and thought I'd like to hear Mayer while going through a medical procedure?
If there ever is a need, or next time, I'm bringing in my own Kosmomix.
