voices to make a nation cry

wow..then that does it.
This is a solid article about the daily polling, and why it is likely that the polls will narrow up a bit:

It would appear fact checking and learning from one's mistakes isn't a real strong point of the McCain campaign… Doesn't this make at least 5 songs they've used without permission. Not to mention the picture of the wrong Walter Reed named facility they used without permission during the acceptance speech. And how about Palin's gaffe where she misstated the Albright quote this last weekend.
the foo fighters write music for nfl kick offs ..should this not be expected?
he is racist. you nailed it once again. good job. great band.
If y'all really want to know one of the reasons why I can't believe that people are falling for Obama's hope/change message, Victor Davis Hanson explains it (this posting notes that Obama kept in contact with Bill Ayers until 2005, when Obama was elected to the Senate):

"Indeed, there is a disturbing pattern here. Obama's once-close radical Chicago associates are never jettisoned out of principle, but only at the 11th-hour when they became impediments to Obama's political career. Thus Wright is defended throughout his racist rantings, until he makes the unfortunate decision of bringing that hatred to DC's elite nexus at the National Press Club â?? and only then is immediately dropped, as Obama resigns from Trinity Church. Ditto Ayers. What made Obama cease communciations with Ayers was not the latter's radicalism (indeed Obama facilitated it by serving with Ayers to dispense millions to questionable organizations), nor even Ayers' boasts in 2001 of having no regrets about trying to blow up government buildings. Instead, 2005 coincides with Obama's ascension to the Senate and the plan to begin running for the Presidency â?? and thus Ayers, like Wright later, became expendable. Ditto Rezko, Pfleger et al."

I'd also point out Mark Halperin's interview with Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs on this issue.

All of this is to say that. . .Obama's experience does not seem to live up to his own expectations for a politician, and is, instead, nothing more than a cold, calculating desire to succeed in politics, and that the only higher calling he's seeking is him having more power.

Btw, the best part of last night's debate was Obama pointing out, in a negative way, that Delaware has favorable laws for credit card companies. Certainly Obama could have instead pointed to Connecticut and insurance companies, instead of the home state of his VP. Otherwise, it was boring and didn't accomplish much of anything for either one. Oh, and I'm getting sick and tired of Obama and Biden blaming deregulation for this economic mess, which everyone from Bill Clinton and Bob Rubin to Sebastian Mallaby has said is not the cause.
congratulatons, you are the first person in history to catch a politician having political aspirations :)

very true. . .but obama's whole schtick is that he's a different type of politician, one that can bring americans together, hope/change, et al. . .all i'm pointing out is that nowhere in his history or experience is that true, and, frankly, is in fact nothing more than old fashioned political pandering designed to get himself elected, whatever the costs and whatever he has to say to do that.

Yeah, that's totally weird. I tried to PM you, manimtired, but for some reason, you're on both my Ignore list AND Buddy list, so I can't. Odd…considering I have the South Carroll connection with sonick's wife.
