voices to make a nation cry
Originally posted by xneverwherex:she is going to be boo'ed, which will have one of two effects: make her and her handlers look stupid ("why did they put her out there?"), or get her some sympathy ("poor palin, being mistreated by those mean ol'hockey fans"). i'm thinking that her campaign managers are planning on the latter. normally i'd say that's a pretty crafty move, but the GOP's PR strategy machine has been in reverse recently so i'm reserving judgment.
Im just disgusted to learn that Palin is dropping the puck at the Flyers/Rangers game Saturday night. Im right now thinking of all the bad things that could go wrong (or hope go wrong).

people care about the economy and little else right now. obama has denounced and rejected farrakhan's endorcement since farrakhan made that speech. so yeah, go ahead and make that the message while capitalism collapes. sounds pretty out of touch to me

farrakhan's endorsement was indeed out there by itself. he was asked the question by tim russert in the primary debates

i thought this was pretty scary too:
The crowds that show up for his rallies these days appear to have little appetite for the talk of bipartisan compromise that had been at the heart of his message around the Republican National Convention. During a rally outside a small airport in Mosinee, Wis., on Thursday, McCain said that "it's time we come together, Democrats and Republicans to work together. That's my record. I'll reach across the aisle."http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/09/AR2008100903169_pf.html
The crowd stood silent.
