the draw of justice is the dance party it promises. we'll wave to you chattering musical archivists in the balconies from the dance floor.
Anybody else counting down the days to Justice?
instead of lame cell-cam vids, why not watch a professional justice video? i LOVE the retro 70's feel they create in this one… damn those french and their stylishness.

the cell cam vids suggest there won't be any backdrop graphics. too bad.

Great show at Sonar. It wasnt too crowded, and the soundsystem was unbelievable. the bass coming through the speakers hit so hard. i was also bummed about no merch. great show though, you guys will have a blast at the Tuesday show.

Doors 8:00
Busy 9:00
Justice 10:30
last train from U Street going north: 12:02 am, can connect with red line towards glenmont.
last train from U Street going south/downtown: 11:50 pm, can connect with red line towards shady grove.
after that, it's busses.
folks in VA are outta luck, as they need to be on the 11:30 train out of U St station to get on the last orange line.
Drive, or use the time table as a good reason to stay overnight with your cute local friend?

great… 10:30 start time - thank you very much….[sarcasm] shit shit shit…. that fuckin' sucks. The 9:30 is the only venue that tries to have it's patrons take the metro to and from the show - occasionally they fail miserably - tonight for instance… of the numerous venues I've attended nationally, the 9:30 is the only that springs to mind that opens a full hour before the first band hits the stage - most everyother venue is half hour at the least… why is the door 8:00 anyway, what… you couldn't move the bands a half hour earlier - thanks for screwing up my night… and now I have to factor in cab money - thanks a fuckin' lot (which could have gone to say a drink or two… but oh no, you guys can be real dicks when it comes to timing this and other prior concerts [Sunday-Thursday] just right so it goes beyond the last subway of the night - that is really a rude dis-service to us who don't own cars and depend on public transit - DC isn't like NYC that has a subway open all day/night or even London, that quite frankly has an excellent night bus schedule)
930 should add a section to this board for carpooling from (and to) late shows.

BTW, DC does have a pretty good night bus service. takes longer, but it'll get you home: trip planner
as a newbie, you might not have had time to appreciate how much the club does for its patrons and how often they take our concerns into consideration. but they can't please everyone all of the time. i'm sure the staph would rather finish up earlier and go home eariler too.

Originally posted by sweetcell:granted Justice has only one album to their credit, there wasn't any real justification that they started nearly 30 minutes later than the listed 10:30 start time.

not all electronic acts traditionally start late, Chemical Brothers, Kraftwerk, Orbital are but a few acts that I've seen at the 9:30 that were not "late". Even though not technically electronic last Fall's Hot Chip show, which was an early show was hand's down the best show of last year - the crowd you can tell had a blast, unlike last nights show where the audiences were nothing but a bunch of spastic twats.
