Word is, the setlist should be pretty much a carbon copy…..won't spoil it for anyone going tonight because that is the highlight of the show, the song selection…..btw,I think it's one of the Bob's, looks to be weighing in at about the 260 to 280 range if I'm not mistaken, maybe it's a stamina thing on the short setlist……
while looking at list of DEVO shows in the early 80s, and most of them list ran around 85 minutes and included the audio used with the video segments.

I expect it probably has more to do with the drummer's injured hand.
You could see the drummer was in pain. He was working hard to try to use his left hand and kept changing his style with that hand in an attempt to use it. Was not totally successful. My friends and I could think of 1 or 2 songs that would have made the night complete but it still was great. I think the broken video added to the even, almost as if they meant for it to be repeating. I didn't view it as an encore but as two sets. They are not young guys anymore.

Was hoping for the Nickelodeon encore.
Fab show, the band was tight and sounded great but was a bit creeped out by the fact the four originial looked like a bunch of dads on stage.

Was a bit disappointed by no appearence of Boojy Boy doing "Beautiful World" and little in the way of video back drops. The only video used was at teh start of the show, the General Boy intro from the New Traditionalists tour followed by a montage of Devo videos. Then again there was a bit of is it live or is it Memorex feel at those 80's shows. BOB1 still rocks…

"We're All Devo"
3 fat guys that could have been accountants. one of them looked like larz from mars.
Yo, weirdest crowd EVER. In line the guy next to me kept talking about how great Weird Al is. Felt like i was at a star wars convention. As for the show, aside from being short, i thought that they played great, and I think Mark Mothersbaugh is a great showman, in his own strange way. Bouncing the superballs into the audience was a nice touch.
Was so happy that I sucked it up and got the tickets. They rocked out!! They were as good as they were when I saw them at the old club the last time they were it town. Duty Now for the Future!!

Would someone provide this old fart with a setlist now that the second show is history??
They played a great show Sunday. So glad I finally got to see Devo.
For those who thought they were obese, you should have seen Steve Jones when the Sex Pistols played the club. His guitar was tilted up from the belly.
I was up front. had a total blast. Got a pair of drumsticks from Josh to add to my collection and a pick for my friend who collects those. Very glad I made the trek from Richmond.

believe me, everyone complianed about them back then, too
All's I have to say is that it was 55 bucks worth spending. I'd never seen them before, knew very little of their songs, but knew of them and knew what songs were popular amongst their fans. I have to say that it was easily a top two concert of the year. So much energy and the music was just GREAT. I had no problem with the length, I usually leave a little early anyways. I can easily live for an hour concert if they play good songs and if its a band I like, play the songs I like. Conclusion: EXCELLANT AND WELL WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Are We Not Men, We Are DEVO" was by far the most entertaining song of the night. Still got it playing in my head and seeing the two guitarist jump back and forth when not singing their vocals.
the crowd was a bit like the New York Dolls show, a fairly wide age range… best comment I over heard right before the band started was paraphasing "Oh I just noticed the video screen, they a bit arty"

The audience was also digging the DJ who I believe was Twangirl…

Will look for a setlist, the best place to find one is the Devo email list but to get approved for it requires filling out a questionnaire which I couldn't be bothered with when getting it…

Anyone know what the band was pumping through the PA before they came on? It was very Devoesque…

The point is, NO SHOW is worth 55 bucks, I mean come on, if you folks down in the birthplace of Ian Mackaye don't know that, who the hell does? The aforementioned music festival was $70 for three days and, like, a million bands.
I am so fucking sick of reading this same old rant…"This 18-day festival with 179 bands was only $20 – how can they charge $50 for blah blah 'show I don't need to see if I think it's too expensive' blah blah blah…

This a plea to all of you: take the money and give it some 18-year-old kids making weird sounds in their basements. They need it a lot more and that's what made Devo cool in the first place.
If you spent more time here, you'd see that most of do that as well. So speak from whereth you knoweth.
Yeah, $55 is steep, but it was Sunday night so the hour and five minute set didn't bother me that much. I could have used 3 or 4 more songs, but they really pack a whollop into a short set. There was great energy all through the club – made me imagine how insane the shows in their heyday would have been. Jaguar indicated as much…

Glad I went, good show, sorry for the drummer and wish I'd gotten a superball!
So let me get this straight.

They played for one hour, with no openers. The drummer played (ineffectively) with a broken hand. The band looked like fat, old middle aged accountants. The incredible video show that was supposed to set the club date apart from a festival date didn't work. Sounds like one hell of a rock and roll extravanganza!!! All for only $55. That's probably more than most of their fans pay a Mexican to do a day of yardwork at their house.

Where is the fan outrage? I guess a roomful of Weird Al fans would tend to set the bar pretty low as to what constitutes a "good show".
First of all no openers and short shows were standard for Devo in the past…. The drummer was hardly impeded by injury, he just didn't rock to 11… the energy was still there, they just didn't bounce as high… the shows of past with videos were highly planned affairs which the band probably didn't have the time to do this timeout… and take your shit somewhere else
