DEVO - Lets hear some chatter folks

So far plenty of mumblings which have been limited to ticket onsale dates, show confirmation, a treeware conspiracy, a rumoured cancellation, and a "discussion" about the price of the tickets.

How about what songs are you looking forward to hearing? Will the great visuals be along for the ride? Does Booji Boy grace us with his appearence? You know the important stuff…

"Girl U Want", "Uncontrollable Urge", "Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA", and "Mongoloid" work for me!
Chatter, chatter, chatter, chatter, chatter, chatter, chatter, chatter……
i'm still debating whether or not its worth $55…

maybe if i had this person's self-assurance
I am literally crying over having to miss another chance at catching these guys live. I just cant afford that damn ticket, !!!!
I am going…and it is WAY more money than I would like to pay, but I choked and hey, it's Devo. This is a one shot deal for me. The only reason I got to see Kraftwerk both nights is because I got on the guest list one night. Anyway, I would be happy with anything from like their first 3 records, especially the first one. It will be a great show, I don't doubt that. It's all part of the experience of going…it will be an event.
I'll be going, and the cost was quite reasonable.
I'm guessing you saved your Bush tax rebate just for these tickets? :p

I'll be there, and I can't wait. I was starting to feel bad about only spending my money on reunion shows and dinosaur acts, but considering how stellar those shows have been, it's been well worth it. Nothing like paying for nostalgia I never had…

i'd really like to go, but i can't really afford a $55 ticket right now with all the stuff i have coming up.
I gave up my ticket for Sunday……….and am getting one for Saturday night instead…..heading to the Ram's Head in Bmore on Sunday….."Akron In The House"!
I'm going to Sunday. It was between this and the NYDolls, and once Tsar dropped out, I decided to opt for Devo.
Listening to "Duty Now For The Future" as I type this. I can't wait for these shows.

You should go there tonight for the KC and The Sunshine Band show. :)
My two day Bumbershoot pass cost about half of a Devo ticket.

Iggy
Elvis
Flogging Molly
Ted Leo
Son Volt
Decemberists
Common
Brazilian Girls
Dolorean
Be Good Tanyas
Math and Physics Club
I'm going Sunday, largely on the recommendation and excitement of folks here… I didn't have any Devo albums growing up – I was just getting in to music around "Whip It" and the like.

So, if I were to buy one (or two) albums to get ready for this show, what should I get?
Last time I saw DEVO was at the old club and it rocked out. Everything I have read about the current tour, it is going to rock out also. I am so pumped up for the show.

I did some video work on a New Year's Eve show at Disney in Florida one year with KC and Paul Shaffer……..that was the first and last experience up close with those two I will ever need for the rest of my life……

These are their best two albums. But you won't hear much of this at shows. Very cutting edge stuff…
It would be wonderful, but I doubt it very much they'll be playing much of either one at all……
