Sonar September 30

i bet against Beck because it is listed on Sonar's site as a "band that usually plays arenas." I'd expect they'd use "artist" if it was Beck (as opposed to "band"). But who knows.

U2 has dates off between September 25th and October 3rd.

That gets my bet.
on a pretty fuckin special scale of 1 to 10, how pretty fuckin special?

and i highly suggest you go to their site then.
cause its pretty fuckin special………
I'll bet on either Oasis or Belle and Sebastian.
Beck is a bad bet as he has a date in the area thats not sold out.

U2 has dates in the area that ARE sold out, but are way to big to be doing club show in Baltimore.

so bet against U2 and Beck (and coldplay, oasis, the killers and the rolling stones)

I recall U2 playing Irving Plaza in NYC a few years ago.
You must be gay if you listen to Coldplay.

I hope it's Beck…
If it's Beck, the misses can go to Coldplay herself…

2000. yes they did. but you have to admit NYC club shows are cool, Baltimore club shows, not so much.
hmm…we're running out of "arena bands."

It seems to me like the Pixies or Belle & Sebastian are the only things left if the Across the Pond Fest is a legit hint. And really, neither of those really are that exciting…
when has B&S played an arena show (in america)

true, true.
haha, true on B&S. That really only leaves the Pixies, and since that's the only thing mentioned here that you haven't refuted, I'm going to go ahead and believe that one.

And I'm with you - not very exciting for me, if that's really who it is.

when have the pixies? they played amphitheatres and concert halls on their last tours, not arenas.
IF its the Pixies, thats pretty damn exciting

good point. but its kind of the same difference.
why is it pretty damn exciting? I mean, they've played the area like three times in the past year. and yeah, I guess its a smaller venue, but hasn't the whole Pixies reunion sort of played itself out by now?
ok ok its not the damn Pixies.
hmm. then I'm out of guesses.
